"Who's Mask☆Demasque? Sounds really corny for a villain or thief name." Lyla told me as she read the news and saw that a jewel had been stolen and then about an exhibit for her village, "They're showing some of our sacred treasures on display with my Father's blessing for publicity he needs for whatever that old guy does nowadays." She closed her paper and went with Pearls who was excited to see the exhibit hall, "Dang, the old man really went all out. Even put up the scroll Anne scribbled on when she was a kid. Though to be fair I've scribbled on it too." They headed to the storeroom where she greeted Andrews, "You must be Adrian from the Engarde case. My name is.." she finished for Lyla, "Lyla Marie Li, maiden last name LeClair and former successor to the Nakagawa clan. Your father informed me you may visit eventually and I'm glad to see you in good health after that case."

"Thank you, Adrian. Now shall we all go see the exhibit?"

"The urn says Kami but the founder of my village was named Maki. So why does it say Kami?" Lyla questioned as Pearl who could tell she was upset despite her calm outer demeanor had beseeched Phoenix into finding the bad guy, "Even though it's still up in the air about her position as the successor to the Nakagawa School of Chanelling, you still need to find the bad guy because your Mystic Lily's--!" Phoenix told her to shush as Lyla glanced up at Phoenix who had turned away with a light pink on hid face, "We should investigate the place. There may be some clues there." She agreed with a bright smile and they headed to Lordly Tailor's where Andrews seemed frazzled at the events of something being stolen, and Gumshoe was overwhelmed by the investigation after having been defeated by Mask☆Demasque a lot earlier, "If he's after priceless items, then I don't quite understand why he took those things...they're just copies of the real ones which are still in my village."

Lyla told them, "The copies are worth far less than the originals but knowing my old man...he put the upmost care in recreating them for public intoxication." They ended up meeting Atmey who was as confident as he was a stuck up and far less intelligent than he thought, taking his title as best detective too seriously like it was a presidential title rather than a nickname because his actual name was just...not great. "I want to know everything about your schedule last night. So talk now." She used her magatama to see the locks on him which were numerous...like a maze, "Wait, the detention center? Why would he want to talk to us? I'm not even on current active duty right now as a lawyer."

Gumshoe urged them to go and so they did only to meet Mask☆Demasque who was named, Ron DeLite, "So why did you do it Ron? And how does Atmey play into this?" Phoenix left Lyla to question Ron and as he walked out with Pearl, she asked, "Are you and Mystic Lily really not..?" He put a hand to his forehead, "No, Pearls. But if I'm being honest...I would like to be." Pearl immediately started fangirling over the realization that Phoenix was just to nervous to ask Mystic Lily out, but while she did that around a flustered Phoenix who was begging her to keep it a secret for now, Lyla learned from Ron that Atmey was the real mastermind behind Mask☆Demasque who had caught Ron on his first heist and blackmailed him into continuing while taking all the profit.

Giving Ron very little to supply his spendthrift wife with and ensuring Ron was dependent on him until he had no use for him anymore, which had happened on the night of the theft in which Atmey decoded to frame Ron for not only the theft at Lordly Tailor's but, also Kane Bullard's death at the KBH Security Offices where DeLit used to be employed. "So, you want me to find this decisive evidence of yours to implicate the true culprit?" Ron nodded while telling her after scribbling out both sides of the paper he wrote his story on, "I've heard about your early career before you became a prosecutor and how you could solve cases in a fell swoop while catching the bad guy. When I heard you just returned to being a defense attorney...I knew you and Phoenix were the only ones who could help me be rid of Atmey forever."
