"Hazakura temple is where Pearls and I are headed for today, Nick. Did you want to come with?" Maya had asked when Lyla walked in to deliver papers, "No. I'm not going. That she witch's sister lives there and I won't get caught dead with her." Maya ended up convincing both of them to go and when they got there, they were greeted by a shrinemaiden, "Long time no see, Mystic Lyla. Iris has missed you, and so have I." She introduce dherself to everyone else then told them to explore, Phoenix and Lyla being left in the dust by Maya and Pearl. "...Lyla...?.." she turned to see Iris who was happy to see her friend but stunned that Phoenix was there, "Iris...how have you been?" She went off to talk with Iris after locating Misty who had been hiding under her book author pseudonym Elise Deauxnim, of which Pearl was a huge fan but Maya didn't recognize her as her mother, seeing her as a stranger who was mystical in aura.
"Phoenix? Are you okay?" Lyla asked after he had no doubt encountered Iris who had choked when trying to apologize as Lyla suggested earlier, "I'm fine, but why do you seem terrified by the weather?" She refused to comment as they made it to the bridge where they ran into Larry who was wearing painters garb, while lying as he was calling himself Laurice Deauxnim bevause he wanted a fresh start after Elise's book touched him, even commenting about how gracious and nice Elise was while giving them a copy of a photo of her. "I think he does, Phoenix. He has even worse luck than you with women so I doubt he'd do something stupid here."
Larry had agreed while stating her had fallen for another girl but Lyla immediately patted him on the back, "Nuns can't date, Larry." He shrieked in horror then ran off after the newsflash that Lyla told him, and she smiled bright for once in the cold weather, "That should solve Iris's problem...for now anyway." Bikini had invited Lyla to the training which she blatantly refused because she didn't want to train, stating she'd hoped her spiritual powers would've faded over time but frowning at the fact they had not and just gotten stronger. "I'm going to bed. So see y'all later." She imitated Lotta then headed to her room which was a double with Phoenix and woke up entangled in his arms with a silent shriek, getting up and seeing Iris who asked about if she was okay, "Just questioning why men are cuddlers in bed."
Iris let out a small laugh and Lyla turned her head away sheepishly as she asked her, "Will you date him?" Lyla's face went red while she silently shrugged with a smile, "I want to tell him but if I do...my days of running from my responsibility as the future master of the Nakagawa clan are over." She smiled while telling Iris not to do anything stupid then left but had ignored her words, because of Godot's persuasive argument and aided in rearranging the crime he committed that night, going so far as to throw Lyla's injured body into the river with Phoenix to keep them both out of the investigation later on. Because even Diego knew that they were the ones who could solve it, and he needed to make sure they didn't so Maya could live without knowing.

Hospital [Phoenix's Joint Room]
---------------------------------------------------------"Lyla are you going to wake up soon? You need to, please..." Phoenix gripped her hands after he got up when regaining consciousness in the hospital, "....Nic.....he...re..you..?" She woke up as Edgeworth walked in and hugged the both of them with relief, "I thought you two really did yourselves in this time!! The way Larry described it, you sounded like you died!!" Lyla coughed harshly with some blood coming up, "I was hurt worse than Phoenix. I...think...I was stabbed while channeling a spirit." She added, "I felt the regular pull from channeling then after a few minutes a sharp singning pain then I blacked out." She added while wincing from a dull pain, "The spirit I channeled is related to Iris. I only did it so Pearl wouldn't have to do something she'd regret...forever..."
*SLAM*
Lyla collapsed back onto her bed as Phoenix and Miles gave her a worried look, because while the doctors said she had a high probability to recover...all the guilt she was feeling from whatever part she played in the murder of Elise, and abduction of Maya who had been trapped in the Inner Temple since the murder, was weighing her down. "Miles, you have to help Iris figure out who the real killer is. I'll stay here to make sure Lyla doesn't try to channel or move." Edgeworth left to investigate the main gate at the temple but was bombarded by Larry who had, agreed to help to some degree until his comments about Iris sparked memories from Edgeworth's first trial to come to light, and from that the similarities between Iris and Dahlia began to surface with the sudden attempt on Lyla's life beginning to make sense.
'I can't make any rash assumptions yet...but based on their previous cases...I think it's Morgan Fey's doing again. I'll have to question Iris more.' He went back to the detention center and after getting rid of Iris's two psyche locks, had discovered that there was a shack at the base of the mountain that she had been told to got to by a letter, and figured a criminal was there so Edgeworth decided to investigate it. After hearing that Phoenix had no idea who she was even if she knew who he was, coming to find Larry who was discussing following Iris to jail...among other things...that Gumshoe interrupted by saying Objection.
"Excuse me, are your Mr. Edgeworth?" A girl in ceremonial garb asked the prosecutor as he reprimanded Gumshoe for interrupting Larry who had something big to share, "Yes?"
She swallowed but told him, "My name is Anne. I'm Lyla's sister...she told me to help you with the case..."
'She sent her younger sister?!'
