Everyone had eaten some rations that Felix had packed and began putting away their tents and other miscellaneous items. Luckily, you didn't have to pack yours due to lack of usage last night when you accidentally stayed with Bendy in his and Boris' tent. The wind had picked up some, but nothing too terrible. However, Felix had some powerful cat-like senses, his nose alerting them that they better get a move on. A rain storm was coming. A big one. If they attempted to set up camp in it, then it may blow all of their things away, leave them soaked, and give a potential cold to some of them. Felix did not want to risk the possibility of that happening.
Felix turned to the others and spoke firm and direct to snag their attention quickly, "Alright everyone, a storm is coming in. We need to travel through this forest and make it to the next town over. Luckily, I know these parts, so it shouldn't take too long. Everything is packed, so let's get a move on."
The lot of you nodded, and followed Felix into the trees. Cuphead and Mugman kept up the rear while you, Bendy and Boris held the middle.
Three long hours had passed of seemingly endless walking. Some of you wished you could enjoy the beautiful forest around you with a simple stroll, but speed-walking was key to getting to a hotel in the next town much faster. Cuphead groaned, "Are we almost there yet??! It's been fucking forever."
Felix lifted his gaze to the darkening clouds and furrowed his brow. He knew that it wouldn't be long before the trekking group had made it through the trees. "Keep going, we are almost there," the cat had announced. You sighed with relief and sped up. Bendy noticed your speed walking pace pick up, giving him an idea. It would end it much quicker if he turned it into a race. "Race you all to the edge! Loser has to buy lunch!!" He cackled and took off running. You and Boris smirked and took off after the young demon. "Oh hell no," Cuphead exclaimed, and took off after the four of you. Mugman giggled and followed after his elder brother, "Cuppy, wait up!!"
A warm smile crossed over Felix's lips and seemed to have a sparkle in those golden brown eyes of his. He had understood what Bendy was trying to do, and was thankful for it. Felix didn't mind buying them all lunch, so he simply jogged behind them at a moderate pace to meet them all outside of the trees. Once they all had broken through the trees, they cheered with relief. You and Bendy seemed surprised to Felix come out last, but the surprise and confusion vanquished when he explained he didn't mind being the one to pay for their lunch. Felix sighed with relief once he had recognized their exact location. "There is a hotel nearby a diner. We can wait out the storm and grab lunch next door."
Everyone became excited and relieved to finally be able to rest and fill their stomachs. "Lead the way Felix. Let's run because it looks like the storm clouds are darker and closing in some."
Felix nodded in agreement and took off running at lightning speed. Everyone blinked in surprise at his great speed s for a moment, before they all followed to suit in attempts to catch up.
