Nearly an hour and thirty minutes had passed, all of us growing worried. Felix had gone after Bendy as soon as he had run off, leaving us at camp. Boris and I especially insisted we come too, but Felix informed us that it would be best if we preserved our strength before moving on tomorrow morning. After all, it would be much faster if he went out on his own. Boris sighed with worry hanging heavy in his mind. "I hope Mr. Felix found him...."

I nodded in agreement and wrapped an arm around the young wolf boy's shoulders. "Hey, it will be alright. I promise. Felix will find him, and bring him back safely." He leaned his head against my shoulder for comfort and stared at the crackling fire before us in sorrow. "Y-Yeah....he'll be fine."

Cuphead and Mugman mostly kept to themselves across from us, on the other side of the fire. They sat there, being eerily quiet. Something about them didn't sit right with me. They didn't seem like inherently bad people, but it almost felt like they were hiding something.
Another eternity seemed to pass when Felix's silhouette finally became visible through the moonlit trees. We perked up, watching as he carried an unconscious demon back to our makeshift camp setup. Boris sprung up to meet Felix, immediately bombarding him with questions about where had Bendy been, and why he was unconscious. According to Boris, Bendy had never been unconscious from an ink attack before. This scared me. Just how bad had that attack been, then?

"He'll be alright, don't you worry. Bendy is a strong young man. Never stop believing in his recovery, Boris," Felix reassured him, before carefully lying Bendy down in Bendy and Boris' shared tent. Mugman stood and approached Boris, giving him a comforting pat on the back whilst his elder brother simply turned from us, unable to meet our eyes. I frowned and stood as well, making my way over to Cuphead. He glanced over at me, eyes widening as though he were cornered prey. How odd. "What's up with you, Cups? You're acting pretty weird," I began, hoping to dig some information from him.

"Nothing. I think you should be focusing on your spoon-fencing buddy," he said with a scowl, dismissing me. I frowned, folding my arms over my chest. "He's your buddy too, isn't he? Otherwise, for what reason did you decide to tag along on this trip?" He grew quiet, and ignored me. I huffed, leaving him to go check up on Bendy. I knew I would find out what about him was bothering me sooner or later, but right now, I was more worried about my friend.

I entered Bendy and Boris' tent quietly and greeted Boris, who was now in the tent, with a light wave. He waved back, then scoot over to allow me to sit next to him. I did so, casting a downward glance at the demon who was now finally waking up. He groaned softly and began to sit up. Boris carefully made him lay back down. "You shouldn't move too much, Bendy. You may get lightheaded. Try waiting a while just to be sure."

"Boris, I'm fine," he croaked weakly, once again attempting to sit up. This time, I was the one who laid him back down. "No. Your brother is right, Bendy. Just give it a few minutes." A weakened smirk crossed his lips, and he tried sitting up again, now making direct eye contact with me.

"Bendy, I swear I will lay on top of you if you don't stay down," I told him, raising an eyebrow. "Ah, well, I'm not opposed to that idea," he replied with a low chuckle, attempting to make light of the situation. This big goof sure was something. "Don't test me, Mr. Demon," I began, amusement in my tone. "I won't just lay on top of you. I'll flop on top of you."

He burst out laughing, finding the mental image hilarious. "That sounds amazing."
