Outside on the bench that lurked near Heizous home a simple silence was surrounding Heizou. His thoughts were damp and anything that came to mind would fall into a void as fast as he could blink, he stayed in this trance involuntarily as he could not control himself at the moment. An annoyed purple haired male was poking at Heizous face once again, feeling even more agitated a sharp and concise hit was thrown across Heizous face. A wince as Scaramouche realized the red mark it would leave and a wince from Heizou as he was quite literally snapped out of the trance he was placed under.
"You know Scaramouche, I don't know much about you, I mean you are 500, but I've always wondered why you joined the fatui." Heizou looked at scaramouche directly in the eyes, the surprise and hurt were evident in his eyes, yet nothing else on his face held any evidence that was what he was feeling. "I'm sorry." Heizou spoke softly, Scaramouche now sat next him, gripping his own thighs with visible frustration. "I will speak to you about it, but in brief. It would be a long talk if I told you everything in detail." Heizou nodded just glad he was beginning to break Scaramouche out of this facade Heizou picked up on. It didn't seem Scaramouche himself knew he was lying to himself and making himself out to be something he's not.
"To begin with, my real name is not Scaramouche, it is Kunikuzushi, and yes you may call me by that name. Continuing." Scaramouche sucked in a breath before carrying on with his story telling. "500 years ago, I was created by the Shogunate, I was created to be a vessel for the electro gnosis. I was weak in my mother's eyes, and I was discarded for being too weak... I was then betrayed twice again by mortals before I joined the fatui." Scaramouches face was his resting face, yet for some reason he felt a hot liquid fall down his face. He let it run down his face, barely having energy to wipe the tears.
"Your family and friends left you, so you became a villain?" Scaramouche nodded and a pair of arms wrapped around him. He quickly returned the hug, being the touch starved person he is, he kept forcing Heizous body closer and closer until Heizou was on his lap doing his best to comfort Scaramouche. "How about we go inside, I make us dinner, and then you can go home to your domain after we read a book together. Does that sound nice?" Heizou got off of Scaramouches lap and took his hand, leading him back inside, soon after the smell of food was lingering in the air and Heizou as well as Scaramouche were eating in silence. Heizou didn't want to ask question and Scaramouche was completely embarrassed at his sudden break down. He hadn't broken down for... 200 years? at the very least not so severely. " I'll see you tomorrow Heizou", Heizou nodded and waved a cheerful goodbye before turning in for the night.
Scaramouche was a full mess, he just told someone even though it was brief about his past. Considering there were only two other people, the traveler, and a random woman who resided in Sumeru. His domain was as lonely as ever and he contemplated going back to Heizous, surely, he wouldn't mind if he wanted company, right? That was right in fact, Heizou wouldn't mind being bothered by the people he cared for at all. He was the type of person were if you knocked at his door at 1 in the morning, he would be willing to chat with you or do something, anything, for you until he was dragged to work by nun-other than kujou Sara. Still nervous Heizou would be agitated he stayed in his domain for a long time before looking out a window and calculating the time. Around 9pm he would guess, Heizou would be awake, most defiantly reading.
With the moon up and candlelight dancing across the walls of his home, a rhythmic knock sounded on the wood of his door. Surprise someone appeared this late as no festival was sounding into the night; a quick notice of the time told Heizou all he needed to know. The door creaked as it opened, illuminating Heizou in a brilliant glow of light from within, "What brings you back here?" Heizou questioned brimming with happiness he came back, he silently hoped he would come back, and they could talk or watch the moon. At night, Heizou and Scaramouche would often sit and watch the moon with the pecs of light shimmering out of sync, those nights were the best, they would say so little yet everything they dare ruin the peace for, turned into deep chats that said so little yet anything the other didn't speak about the other knew about anyway.
"I don't wish to be in my domain. I feel unwelcome there in some way." The answer was short, Heizou wouldn't pry as he learned not to question the others weird situational positions. Heizou smiled sweetly, as sweet as cotton candy and grabbed his friend by the hand, dragging him inside and closing the door. "You know Heizou, you are a lot shorter without your heels on." Scaramouche snickered and Heizou reached up to lightly smack his head. "Come on, I'll set you up a futon and we can read together." Scaramouche chuckled and nodded his head in agreement.
Candlelight flickered weakly as Heizou and Scaramouche were almost done with the book, it had only been an hour that passed and, in that hour, Heizou started humming unconsciously. A soft melody rung through Scaramouches ear, like silk, one that gave immediate comfort. When the book did finish, Heizou stopped humming and yawned leading to him crawling over to his futon as Scaramouche walked to his. "I could get used to hearing you hum." Scaramouche mumbled to himself quietly, unfortunately for him, Heizou heard "and I could get used to you living in my house." A gentle laugh sounded through the room, Heizou meant it, Scaramouche could tell, they serious and playful tone conveyed the mentality Heizou meant it. Scaramouche scoffed; how could he tell Heizou he would move in if his friend wished? It was a foreign concept for the doll, of course it was foreign, the last time he moved in with someone it ended in betrayal.
