Two apples..

Wrote this one late nite, so if its a bit weird, you know why :P

There once was a purple apple.

And another apple, black.

Both led their own apple lives,

Each in a different pack.

The black one kept roving,

Staying for a while, then moving on.

Never just quite belonging,

Always on someone else's lawn.

The purple apple on one tree,

Sprouted and flourished and grew,

Among all the other purple apples.

Till a gale blew her from all she knew.

A brave purple apple,

Upon a distant shore.

An excited black apple,

A fresh start, looking for.

Purple bumped into black one embarrassing day,

Or perhaps it might have been the other way.

What is certain is that they did collide indeed,

Their brief meeting a fertile friendship seed.

The rest, as they say, is history.

But it certainly isn't a mystery,

As to why those two apples came to love each other so.

Different on the outside perhaps; inside having the same core.

And I will mention one more thing about the black apple,

The purple gave her a sense of home.

And when black left once again to roam,

The purple continues to make sure her branchmate never feels alone.

(btw, you're meant to be the black apple... lol, just kidding :P)
