I could not believe what I was seeing with my own eyes; hordes of monsters were bursting through the front gate into the village. There were not only small Bokolbins among them, no, Moblins were also approaching.

Link had already passed me and had arrived at the gate, where he was starting to fight the first monsters. An uneasy feeling spread through my stomach as I ran toward him. I wanted to help him, because he should not fight alone against the monster masses, as long as no soldier of the village was there to help him.
I had almost reached him when I could see a Bokoblin trying to ambush Link. Immediately, I concentrated on my Sealing Power and aimed at the Bokoblin, which immediately fell to the ground.

Briefly, a shiver ran down my spine. The last time Link and I had really fought together was the day I lost Link.... And he could have been hurt just that moment, too!

I tried to block out any thoughts of that day from my mind, because after all, the circumstances were very different back then; after all, Link was in top shape and I had my Sealing Power, even if it was very weakened.

Link looked back at me frantically as I could see him exhale in relief.
"I thought there was a monster!" he yelled in my direction as he also turned back around and killed a Bokoblin as well.
"Was one!", I just yelled back as he just took off running and then gave a thumbs up in the air.

I quickly ran after Link and then supported him in the fight. I concentrated on bundling my power and thus fighting the monsters together with Link. It was always the same; focus power, aim, fire, and then the next monster.

With Link by my side, I then took on some Bokoblins while he faced a Moblin. I quickly defeated the Bokoblins with well-aimed shots of my Sealing Power; my gaze wandered to Link. He was still fighting the Moblin and was already on the ground.
"Link!", I shouted frantically as I was already running in his direction to come to his aid when I received a thud in my side and fell to the ground. "Ahhh!"

Hectically, through clenched teeth, I turned around.
"You...", I hissed as I grabbed my side for a moment as I also tried to get up.
There was a Moblin in front of me, but my attempt to somehow get up failed miserably. Instead, I remained lying down and waited for the right moment to defeat the Moblin with my power from the ground. The Moblin now bent over me and quickly I seized the opportunity; power bundled? Check. Aim? Check. Fire it!
"Take that!"

With a battle cry, I unleashed my power, bringing the Moblin down. Immediately, I made the most of the moment and scrambled to my feet. Briefly, I inhaled the air sharply as I noticed the world around me spin a little. I didn't know why; maybe it was because I was hit, maybe it was because of my weak Sealing Power, which I was currently overusing.... Suddenly, I lost all grip and fell to the ground again.
" Crap...", it escaped me as I tried to orientate myself and then only saw another one of the Moblins piling up in front of me; or was it the same one from just now? Had my power become so weak? I inhaled sharply again as I tried to suppress the pain in my right side while raising my arm to fire my Sealing Power one more time. As I did so, I tried to roll to the side to avoid the Moblin's possible attack.

I was about to unleash my power when I felt a pair of strong arms yank me to my feet and then all of a sudden take me into protection; I didn't have to think twice because it was Link.
"Zelda, please watch out!" he gasped frantically as he loosened his grip. "These monsters are unpredictable!"

I nodded a little confused and looked around when I saw the Moblin lying on the ground. When had this happened? Was it me? Was Link doing this?
Link took one deep breath as he turned to me again. "Are you hurt?"
"I don't think so, just a dull thump in the side," I answered quickly as I took another sharp breath and held my side, trying to downplay it.
"That doesn't look harmless though," he countered, to which I just looked around, trying to make sure no monster was approaching us, before just shaking my head, tears welling up in my eyes.
