As Aizawa sensei ruffled into his sleeping bag in the left corner, the classroom erupted with chatting and discussion of groups. A few students such as Kirishims Eijiro and Kaminari Denki looked at each other cheekally. Others like Tokoyami Fumikage took a minute or two before settling in their matching groups. Within the first five minutes, Ashido Mina and Jiro Kyoka had settled in a group together. Bakugo Katsuki begrudgingly chose Sato Rikito to be his partner, letting out a "Oi, easy-bake-oven, we're working together!" As he shifted over to the sweets hero.

Others like Sero Hanta were having trouble figuring out their groups. Yuga was quick to charm his way to Hanta. The French boy insisted they worked together, however Hanta was trying to ask as politely as he could for the blonde to step back. Seeing as how Hanta look notably uncomfortable, the taller male known as Iida Tenya went his way over to the scene. The male gently placed both his hands on Yuga's shoulder before giving him a sort of sinister smile, letting his grip slitely tighten to let Yuga know he should leave.

"Hello, Aoyama.... me and Sero were actually just about to work together, so would you mind stepping back?" Iida smiled down at the boy. A few students from nearby, like Mina, Denki, and Katsuki, saw what was going on. Yuga, feeling the eyes of those three blazing into him, stepped back as instructed and... begrudgingly... left. Hanta looked up at Tenya in some sort of disbelief. Had the blue haired man just helped him? Hanta hadn't had any emotion for the boy. They weren't friends, they weren't enemies, they weren't even administered in the same in the same wealth class! However, Hanta couldn't help but feel at ease once someone finally stood up for him. Everybody would jornslly just let it happen, but once Tenya caught on, he didn't plan on stepping back.

"Thanks for that!" Hanta smiled up at the slightly taller boy. He was greeted by a bright grin. "So, do you really want to be partners, or was that just to get Aoyama to go away?" Hanta subconsciously frowned at just the thought that he was lied to. Hanta, being a chill and laid back individual, didn't have many triggers for his mad side, but that didn't mean he didn't have any. For example, he hated when people lied. He also hated when someone wouldn't give him his well-earned space. But the thing that upset him the most, was when people used him to get what they want. That was also why he wasn't religious, because he felt as if he was controlled by some metaphysical force.

"Well, if you want to be partners... we could, but if not. I could find someone else." Tenya shyly smiled at the ravenette. Suddenly remembering the assignment and how much it was worth made Hanta feel really guilty. Tenya was offering to work together, that meany an easy A. Hanta didn't want to use the male, because that would be hypocritical. But, he also needed the A or his grades would fail and he would be held back or something like getting a tutor. Hanta knew it was dirty and quite frankly a horrible thing to do, but all of the other smart kids has their group. Todoroki Shoto was with Midoriya Izuku, and Yoahorozu Momo was grouped with Aoyama Yuga and Koda Koji, making them the only group of three.

"Sure, we can partners." Hanta said in a flat tone. He was still spaced out, and just said what came to mind. Tenya smiled, pulling Hanta over to his desk to talk about the subject they'd do. The whe time, Hanta had a burning hatred for himself. He was just using Tenya for an A. But, wasn't that what everyone else was doing: using the three smart kids as easy A's. No... Hanta didn't want to be like everyone else, he hated following a group, he liked coming up with his own ways to do things.

Both boys decided on a subject, immediately, Tenya started looking up a Wikipedia page on close combat strategies. Hanta wouldn't know anything about that, his quirk was a far ranged use. Was he really using someone? That was horrible.
