Shoto frowned a bit as he watched Izuku overworking himself once again. During the internships, they encountered Stain and had to fight him off. They were successful but even so, Izuku did not handle the whole thing very well, how could he when he witnessed his pack, his family, getting hurt?

Once the fight was over Izuku had to be put to sleep, he had gone feral and wouldn't let anyone near his pack to help them. Shoto could still remember it all so vividly, his whole world froze as Stain nearly cut his arm off.

He had never heard Izuku scream like that...he hadn't seen Izuku that angry since the sports festival. That was the day Izuku presented...the day he and Shoto formed a different kind of bond.

Izuku's mind was running a thousand miles per hour, he was angry before but now he's more than just angry. Shoto had been antagonizing Izuku since school fucking started, first, he had to deal with Katsuki but now he had to deal with Shoto trying to challenge him on EVERYTHING he fucking did.

It was annoying and tiresome and Izuku was fed up with all of it. He had planned to yell at Shoto and finally stick up for himself but then Shoto told him about his father and why he had to beat him. Now Izuku was livid but it was no longer directed at the Alpha before him.

His story hit way too close to home, Izuku remembered the many nights his parents fought before his dad finally left. He remembered how his father changed when he was announced quirkless. He remembered how his father said he was only with his mother to make a child with a strong quirk.

He remembered how his father said he never loved Inko, he remembered how his father said she was a pathetic and useless Omega. He remembered how his father belittled her, broke her heart, beat her, and then abandoned her.

He remembered being five and scared while trying to nurse her wounds only for her to attack him in her terrified state. He remembered how she'd grow sick and break down everytime she saw the large scar she left on his forehead and neck.

Izuku could feel all that rage coming back full force as his body grew hot and no matter how much he tried to release that anger it only continued to grow. When Shoto finally caught up to Izuku he found the boy angrily wailing on a tree, his knuckles raw and bloody.

"M-Midoriya?! What are y-you doing?!" Shoto yelled wide-eyed as he covered his mouth and nose.

Izuku's scent was so strong it almost felt like he was inhaling toxic chemicals, it burned his lungs and made his skin itch unbearably.

Izuku finally stopped and slowly turned to him, tears pouring from his cold dead eyes, "I wanna kill him...please let me kill him for you...I want to see him choke on his own blood. I wanna watch him suffer,"

Shoto froze as a strange feeling took over his entire being, this was the first time someone got angry for him. It was the first time someone cried for him but not out of pity, Izuku was crying because he wanted to hurt the man who harmed him so badly it consumed him.

Shoto could feel his Alpha reacting to Izuku, his Alpha who had been silent nearly his entire life was now howling out to the boy. It was screaming that it wanted to stay by Izuku's side, that it wanted to be his. But not as his mate, it wanted to serve and protect him like a knight with its king.

Right then and there Shoto hugged Izuku and decided that his sole purpose in life was to be at Izuku's side and make him happy. For the first time in his life he felt safe, complete, and understood, for the first time in his life he had a dream, a purpose...a reason to live.
