Your pov

My peaceful slumber was rudely interrupted by my phone ringing. istg i keep forgetting to put it on dnd but then again i'm also too paranoid to do that because what if something bad happens and my gf or my close friends really needs me?
Maybe i'm just overthinking this whole thing? I mean it's just a setting right? but is it JUST a setting? okay no i'm not having this discussion with myself again.

I grab my phone and answer it with my eyes still closed, "what?" i rasp out,
"well that's not a good way to greet your girlfriend babe" i hear Rosa say and i can just tell by her voice that she's smirking.
"WELL i just woke up and you know how i get when my sleep is disturbed" i say and let out a heavy sigh at the end, "but i still love you so what's up?"
I quickly added and laughed so she wouldn't think i'm actually mad at her.

I hear her adorable laugh making me smile before i hear a dramatic gasp in the background
"ROSA JUST LAUGHED" and i can tell it's Jake, "shut up" she replies annoyed and i can hear him just giggle to himself while he's walking away, "seriously peralta stop doing that dance" she says again even more annoyed,
"stop being so meannn he's just being funny" i laugh and drag out the 'mean' to tease her, i can hear Jake chanting "rosa just laughed" over and over and i think i hear Boyle joining in as well.

"alright i'm not doing this" she grunts and i start laughing as i hear her walking away because their chanting slowly fades. "you think this is funny?" she says and based on her tone i can tell she's smiling

"i mean it is kinda funny" i say still laughing,
"but why did you call? do you need something? wait not that i don't appreciate you calling because i do i was just asking since you rarely call me while at wor- baby breathe i get what you meant" Rosa interrupts my rant and laughs

"you're so cute you know that?" she adds making me blush, "okay okay you just lied to me" i fake being hurt, she laughs "no i didn't but anyway i forgot my lunch in the fridge so i was wondering if you could stop by and drop it off?" rosa asks making me shoot out of bed "yes of course i'll be there soon" i say excitedly.
Her colleagues doesn't know that we're dating and she hasn't introduced me to anyone other than Jake and Terry since they randomly knocked on Rosa's door one day while i was over. smh.
So yeah i'm hella excited for this.

"shit where's my bra" i ask myself as i look everywhere "uh you should check around my side of the bed because i kinda just threw it behind me last night" rosa replies making me scream because i forgot she was still in the call, she laughs some more

"oh hey babe i totally didn't forget about the call.. totally" i say and put her on speaker. i sit on the bed again to try and see where she could've thrown it. i see something slightly poke out from behind the trash can by her desk, i pull it out, "AH there it is" i squeal and quickly put it on.
"okay babe I gotta go now but i'll see you soon" rosa says, "okay byeee i love you" i yell out from across the room, "i love you too" i hear before the line hangs up.

I grab my pants and put them on. obviously what else would i do with them. i notice Rosa's shirt so i put it on because why not. After putting on some socks i walk into the bathroom and quickly brush my teeth. i spray some perfume on because i am terrified of smelling bad in public.
I walk downstairs and grab her food from the fridge before going to the hallway and put on my shoes. The precinct isn't that far from here so i decided to walk and save gas money. that shit be expensive asf these days.

A/n: fast forward to when you get there LMAO

I walk into the building and walk up to the secretary "hi i'm here to deliver some lunch for detective Diaz?" I give her the bag so she can check it, "sure go on ahead! take the elevator up to the 3rd floor" she smiles, "thank you" i say and smile back at her.

A couple minutes of awkward elevator music later

The doors open and i walk out trying to find my girlfriend, "oh hey beautiful! Come on over" I hear someone yell out making me laugh, i see a redhead waving at me, i walk over to her desk, "hey, how are you?" i smile at her, making her smile widely at me, "i'm doing good you know if it wasn't for me this whole precinct would be in ashes" she says with a confident nod, "okay Gina you know that's not true" i hear a man say as he walks out of what i assume is his office,

"hi i'm captain Holt, is there anything you need?" he holds his hand out and i take it, "hi it's nice to meet you and no i'm just here to drop off some lunch for Diaz" he nods and lets go of my hand, "hm you have mastered the task of a real firm grip with handshakes, i'm impressed" he says with not much emotion making me just smile and thank him. "Peralta and Diaz had to run out on a case but they will come back shortly" he says, "oh okay thank you" i nod and he walks back into his office. "Please have seat" Gina offers, "thanks Gina" i say and sit down,

"how do you know my name?" she asks with her eyebrows raised, "uh captain holt called you gina earlier" i say and she laughs "oh right true", "you should be a detective" she says in a tone that kinda sounds flirty. "oh yeah no i wish" i laugh making her laugh, "i'll just stick to watching true crime documentaries at home" i add making Gina high give me "YES that's what i'm saying" but i notice she doesn't let my hand go.. she just brushes her thumb across my knuckles which i find weird because now my hand is just on the table with hers on top of mine. "you have nice hands" she compliments and plays with my fingers "uhm thank you?" i say but sounds more like a question.

I hear the elevator ding making me turn around in my chair, i see Rosa and Jake walking out, i smile. Rosa makes eye contact with me and smiles before i see her eyes drift down to Gina's desk. The way her smile instantly dropped made me gulp. She quickly walks towards us and i try to pull my hand away from Gina but she just takes it again and kisses my hand. "What's going on here" i hear my girlfriend say in her serious tone, i look up and see that her jaw is clenched. God she looks so hot rn.

"are you single?" Gina suddenly asks and walks around her desk completely ignoring Rosa and sits on my lap with her one arm around my neck, the other holding my cheek. making me choke on my own saliva for some reason, i keep my hands straight down so i'm not touching her in any way. "uh no i'm not, i'm dating someone" i say with a smile and look at Rosa, "is it a serious relationship?" Gina asks and rubs my cheek.
"yes it is now get off her" my girlfriend yells making Gina and i slightly jump, she quickly gets off me and goes back to her seat. "Okay damn Rosa" she laughs. "here's your lunch" I say and hand it to her. Trying to help make the situation a little better.

She smiles at me slightly before putting her arm around my waist pulling me closer, "thank you" she says and kisses me. I can hear multiple gasps around the room as we pull away making me blush and look down. Rosa laughs softly at me before kissing my forehead.
"Oh shit i didn't know she was your girl rosa i'm sorry" Gina hurries out making me laugh,
"it's fine just don't do it again" Rosa glares at her, "babe relax she didn't know" i say and kiss her cheek.
She grunts before turning us around and i can see the others smiling at us and Jake is dancing around "FINALLY" he yells out.
"Oh my god! hi i'm Amy it's so nice to meet you" a girl in a suit says and walks up to me,
"hi Amy i'm y/n and btw i love your suit" she grins at me, "keep her rosa" i laugh, "trust me i'm going to" Rosa replies making me blush,
"AYE WE GOT A BLUSHER" Terry yells making all of us laugh.
