Chapter 11 - Thorn

A few hours after all the chaos that happened on the other side of the bridge. Acel did freak out once Jero explained what happened, Mike, Billy, and Lindy dying... and being on her rage while being unaware about everything that she did. After that, Jero, Acel, Liz, and Anny then went back to the other side of the bridge where they are staying in as a shelter.
After all those, the three went back in the shelter and tried to sleep but can't even do such thing since Acel can't even forget about what happened. Jero on the other hand was just outside the shelter, being at the top of the building while looking down as the sun slowly rises up and shines at them.
The red sky is still above as the black clouds is just there. Some have already noticed that the sky gets darker every time a day passes by. Jero is now looking at their right arm that is missing a hand as they once again remembered the time when Billy, Mike, and Lindy insulted Jero for not helping Acel and all as Jero gritted their teeth.
'I don't blame them... it's also my fault for not telling them why I'm doing this... everything will always be my fault...' Jero thought to themselves as tears started forming in their eyes while both of their pupils have turned blue.

Acel sped on up the top of the shelter that they're all in, she's been searching for Jero while knowing that they would be at the top of a building. Approaching Jero once she saw them.
"Figured that I could find you here." Said Acel which startled Jero a bit, not even expecting Acel to be there as they quickly looked at Acel approaching them, still looking at her, watching her sitting down on Jero's left side with their eyes widened and lips parted.
"You really love the view of seeing the sky, moon, and the sun, huh?" Acel asked while smiling at Jero, looking at their shocked and crying face.
"Y-yes..." Jero softly answered before looking away from Acel, looking at the sun rising up as both Acel and Jero watched the sunrise in front of the two.
"Jero... I want you to know that everything is not really your fault..." Acel paused before looking at Jero with Jero looking back at her. "Everyone will always think that you're a bad person even if you're trying to help and do the right thing... I've experienced that before, you know?" She told Jero before looking at the sunrise again, Jero just kept looking at Acel.
"But... I can just move on from something that I regret too easily, you know?" Acel continued before looking back to Jero again just to give them a sweet smile.
"I want you to move on too, I know it's hard but you'll get used to it!" Acel told Jero just to make them positive as Jero looked at her smile, blushing and getting flattered.

Jero then smiles to Acel, tilting their head to their right, giving her a grateful smile.
"Thanks... Acel!" Jero thanked Acel.
'That's what Filipinos really are...' Jero thought to themselves while remembering the people that they saved, seeing their smiles even though dangers are already happening. 'Even though... there's a lot of dangers happening... they will all still give a smile... while it's just too hard for me to do such a thing when I've been having depression for so long which slowly made me show less emotions every time a day passes by.' Jero thought to themselves.

The sky is dark, the clouds are black while the moon is shining, it's midnight. A cave that no people even tried to step in is just all dark inside. Two men just then suddenly found this cave being here, they didn't even know that the cave that they've seen somewhere on the legend was actually true.
The two men kept looking at the cave, the one person has black hair while the other has white hair, both of them are scientists as they usually test on something that they haven't mostly found yet.
"Ace, are you sure you wanted to come in?" The black-haired guy, named Jerald, asked to his friend. "Might as well just find out." Ace Hanbun said while walking in the cave.

Everything suddenly glitches, Ace and Jerald are now getting out of the place once they just found a monster that almost killed the two of them after getting stabbed or something as the two of them are bleeding.
They then found a single rune near the exit of the cave as Jerald stood there and stared at the rune while Ace is trying to call out for Jerald, not even trying to waste much time to escape but still waited for Jerald to start moving but Jerald is just there, staring at the rune, admiring it.
"This... is the rune of Thorn... it's just the same as what I remembered ..." Jerald said as he kept on admiring the rune, raising his left hand to touch the rune as Ace just stood near the exit, being confused on how Jerald is currently acting.
