Dad buckles up the child in her seat, which is beside Hazel and Me.
“FaFa, I wanna go get Mcdawnowlds.” She stares big eyed at the God, wait did she just call him FaFa???
“No, hon,” He adjusts her seat strap and looks up at her, “we gotta get you to your VaVa.” He uses his knuckle and brushes her nose slightly.
“VaVa? Is that what you call her Mama?” Hazel questions, watching him.
“Uh… sort of, I guess.” The king shut the door and leaned through the open window, “That's what we call her other DaDa.”
“Oh,” Hazels says as our faces go blank from shock, and Dad hopped in the driver's seat.
“I still want Mcdawnowlds…” The girl whispers, not helping the conversation at all.
“Wait,” I turn towards the child, “we didn’t even get your name. What is your name?”
The girl giggles, “My name is Rue! Rue Letha Timons.”
“Lethia, sweetheart.” Dad corrects the girl.
“Right, Rue Lethia Timons!”
“Oh, that's a cute name, Rue.” Hazel smiles at Rue sweetly, although most of Hazels smiles are sweet.
“Yeah, that was her fathers idea. I gave her her middle name.” Dad speaks from the front of the car, concentrating on the road like a good citizen.
“It's Greek,” I note, “Greek for forgetful. Lethia.”
“Uh! I'm not forgetful!” Rue grunts and crosses her arms angrily.
“Sure, sweetie.” Dad says with a hint of sarcasm.
We all laugh, well besides Rue, she's still upset but I'm sure she will forget soon.
How can people think we’re not people, that we’re creepy with no feelings. I treasure moments like these, pure bliss and happiness. The world, and people in it, is so unfair.

Dad pulls into a driveway, the house is… green??? But not neon, like a sage color… and the roof is normal. The bushes near the front are large and trimmed, and there are flowers around them. The house looks new yet there's ivy crawling over it, probably for- what do they say? Aesthetic reasons?
As dad parks the car, Rue tries to unbuckle her seat immediately. Dad notices, sighs, and exits the car to go unbuckle her.
We all clamber out of the car and follow Dad and Rue to the door. Dad is somehow holding Rue in his left arm and a bunch of her stuff in his other arm. He is a god after all, or maybe it's just ‘dad strength’.
“The house is nice,” Hazel remarks silently to me, “I'm a little jealous if I'm being honest…”
“Yeah…” I know she’s not talking about the house, she’s talking about our childhoods. Dad tried his best, the world just got to us before he could…
“Spspspspspspsp,” Dad mimics us, as he waits for us at the door, “You two done susurrating? Cause I need help opening the door.”
“Oh yeah! Sorry.” Hazel rushes over to the door and takes Dad's keys. She jiggles the key in the door and opens it, pushing it open so Dad can get through.
“Thank you,” The god sighs thankfully.
We all shuffle in the house and I shut the door behind me, locking it upon Dad's request.
“Callum!!! We’re home!!!” The god yells, placing Rue down along with her things.
“And uh… I brought more kids.”
“Wait what?!” a man with brown hair, skin that looks similar to Rues but slightly darker, and with green eyes turned the corner, a look of concern and fear shines on his face.
He's kinda cute, but not really my type. I prefer blondes over brunettes.
“Yeah… I forgot to mention that, didn't I?” Dad rubs the back of his neck, his face looks embarrassed and ashamed but with a slight smile.
The man sighs and looks at dad with a jokingly disappointed look on his face, his hands on his hips. Once he spots Rue though, his whole demeanor changes. A smile melts on his face.
“Hi, baby.” Rue runs up to him and hugs him, “oo my little spawn of Satan you! Mwah!”
He kisses her on the cheek, which makes her giggle. He stands up and walks over to Dad.
“You have more kids?” He asks calmly, dangerously calm. He’s right up in dad's face, which is definitely bothering the god.
“Ye-yes…?” He whimpers.
The man squints, looks at us, and then looks back at Dad.
“Fine, I believe you.” The man peck's Dad on the mouth, “They are adorable, though one doesn’t look quite like you.”
Hazel laughed awkwardly and shifted on her feet.
“Yeah… we get that a lot…” I say in an ironic tone.
“Oh, sorry. Let's be honest, nor does Rue.” He speaks in a regretful tone as he picks up Rue.
“The only reason Nico looks like me is because he is in the underworld more,” Dad points out.
“You guys are so precious, you two.” The man claims, bouncing Rue up and down.
For some reason the comment made me blush, maybe because he called me precious and adorable, or maybe just cause I'm embarrassed.
“Oh yeah, kids this is Callum. Callum, this is Hazel and Nico.” Dad explains.
“Hello Callum,” Hazel and I say in unison, bowing our heads slightly.
“O-oh,” Callum giggles at our welcoming, “Well hello to you two, Hazel and Nico.”
He mimics our bow, still with Rue in his arms.
“VaVa,” Rue stares at her Dad with her big eyes.
“Yes dear?” Callum responds, looking back at her.
“I still want Mcdawnowlds.”
