Cindy's Truth

Cindy angst, yay!

It was Sunday, last day of the weekend. Your mother had let you go to the park to hang out with Penny

After a long way, you finally arrived at the park. You looked everywhere to see Penny, but she wasn't there.

You waited for a few minutes and kicked the floor as you were angry for her not arriving, but, after doing so, you saw a paper

You took it and read something

"Hello y/n! Im sorry but my mother doesn't let me exit home on my own, so i asked her if i could go to leave you a note and she said yes! But yeah, what i wanted to say is that i can't come, sorry!"

"Awwww..." You said to yourself walking to the bin and throwing the paper 

"Thank you, bye!" You heard a familiar female voice say

You turned around to see who it was and noticed It was Cindy. She was carrying a basket full of groceries and a bottle of wine

"Hey, Cindy!" You said, but she didn't hear you

You were about to run after her to say hello, but you saw her sigh and look sad before starting to walk, which gave you the idea of following her without telling her

You started going behind her and she almost noticed you were following her once, but you hid fast enough

After a few minutes you arrived at the house you visited the other day to take Cindy to the beach

She knocked on the door and someone in the inside replied

"The door is unlocked dumbass!" A female voice said

Cindy opened the door and entered

You were really curios to see if Cindy was alright, but you weren't gonna enter through the door without asking, so you went to the left side of the house

There you found two windows, through the first one you could see the kitchen, where Cindy had left the basket and through the second one you could see what you thought was Cindy's room, which was really small. You could see Cindy sitting in the bed

You knocked on the window which made Cindy scared. She looked towards the window, saw you and opened the window

"Y/n? What are you doing here?" She asked

"Hey Cindy! Don't question it, can i go in?" You asked

"What? N- yeah sure" She said and opened the window more 

She helped you climb the wall and you got in

"So what were you doing?" You asked

"Oh, nothing in special. Just sitting on my bed and doing nothing" She answered

"Oh, cool" You lied

After saying that you looked at her arm and saw she was hurt

She noticed where you were looking and covered her arm with her pillow

"You're hurt" You said

"What are you talking about? Of course not!" She said

"No, you really are" You said taking the pillow off "See?"

She looked at you

"Well, uhh.. I feel down, that's all" She lied

"When i fall down i don't get hurt like that. Be honest, how did you get hurt?" You said

"I-... It was my mother" She answered and noticed you were surprised "She gets angry easily, plus she drinks a lot of wine and beer, which doesn't help"

"You should have told me! Not only me, but your father! You should tell your father!" You said trying to help
"Well, i would. But he's at jail" She said more calmly than she should have

"What? Why?" You asked

"My mother accused him of hitting her, which wasn't true. But people believed her and now he's at jail" She said

"For how long has he been at jail?" You asked

"For 1 year now. He is going to be free next year, and when that happens, i'll finally be able to go out of this house and live with him! That would be awesome"

"He has to stay at jail for supposely hitting a woman?" You asked

"Not only that. My mother hit herself with bottles of wine while being drunk so that people would think he hit her and she almost passed away because of doing that, which i really wish she had..." She said that last part more quietly than the rest of the sentence

"That's sad, how did your father even like her?" You asked

"She was really different when she was young. I don't know what happened to her but she just changed" She answered

"Well, then, until your father is free you can ask me for whatever you want okay? Even sleeping at my house. Then, when your father is free, you can live with him and i'll help you to let people know what your mother really did" You said trying to calm her down

"Really?" She asked and you nodded "Thank you!" She said, hugged you and pulled away quickly "I shouldn't have done that, sorry"

"It's okay, come here!" You said and hugged her which made her calm down

"Cindy! Cindy! Where the fuck are you?!" You heard her mother say

"Quick, go out!" She whispered to you

You ran to the window and went out

"Bye!" You said

"Bye" She asnwered and closed the window "In my room mom!"

"You little bitch!" She said and you saw her enter the room "I told you to buy me beer, not wine!"

You didn't want to see more, so you just ran to your house since it was already late and you didn't want to make your mother worried

You wouldn't tell anyone about what had happened, and just would tell your mother you played with Penny and had lots of fun with her, nothing could go wrong
