Meeting with Teddy

I had been given dirty looks by mostly everyone except Tedros for the last few days. Beatrix and her muppets, the Nevergirls and even the faculty. I was starting to feel like Tedros was the only one I had that I could trust, yet.. he wasn't.

A few days after the incident with the School Master, I had started to recieve strange dreams. They were about Hort and how I have had positive and passionate feelings towards him. It was strange and felt wrong, yet right. When I was dreaming, it was like I was living through it again and I still had that strange feeling of love. Nothing like I had with Tedros. I had kept telling myself that he was my true love and that I would be the Queen of Camelot one day. To rule beside him would be any princess' dream, right?

The days grew shorter and shorter, and before I knew it, there was only a week left to the Ball. Tedros had asked me that one night in the common room, and I had gracefullt accepted. My parents would be so proud of what I was going to become. Yet, through all of this stress and mixed emotion, my grades had started to slip, and I was moments away from loosing my Groom Room privileges. I had to start to get it together. I have had to move out from my shared room with Beatrix, Reena and Millicent, so now I was all alone with Rose (whom had eaten all the roses).

Even though it was sad being rejected by all my earlier 'friends', it was sort of an advantage, for I could sneak out of my room whenever I wanted at any moment and no one would be there to watch and then tell the fairies or proffessors. And this is exactly what I had done a couple of evenings ago. With my simple, green dress (who only reached to below my knees) I had made my way towards the common room to meet Tedros. He was already waiting for me by some bookshelves. He was wearing a simple white t-shirt and a couple of comfortable pants. "Hi." he smiled. "Hi." I whispered back with a smile. "How come you look perfect even with only your nightgown on?" he asked sweetly as he twired a strand of my silky hair on his index finger that was glowing slightly.

"Why did you want to meet here?" I asked. "Well.." he started. "You know that prince I was talking to you about before?" he asked smugly. "Yes?" I giggled. "Well, he would like to ask you to the Ball," he proposed. "Yes, I would love that," I replied as I lit up like a candle in the dark. "Wow! Wonderful!" he breathed through a smile. I looked at him as he smiled. Was this the man I was going to fall in love with? That was, if I survived the semester.

Suddenly, my smile dropped. "What about Beatrix?" I asked once more, suddenly having the same mindset I have had before the meeting with the School Master only for a split second. "When are you going to understand?" he asked retorically. "I don't want Beatrix. She's just like every other girl I've ever met; swooning over me the second she sees me. But you were not like that! You're not some brainless damsel in distress, you're.. unique," he spoke passionately, and suddenly, the same mindset I have had before returned. "Oh Teddy," I swooned as I wrapped my arm around his neck. I noticed him freeze up, and as I pulled away, I realized how much like Beatrix I has sounded like in that sentance.
