Chapter 3 - Settling in

It was nearing the end of my first day at Headington College and I was starting to think that I could really fit in here. I had made some new friends, Annabelle and Hazel. They were the 'popular' girls in the school but not like the mean ones like in the movies, they were gorgeously stunning, smart and both role models for the younger pupils.

The clock struck 3:40 and the final bell rang. I was quite relieved but couldn't wait to come back tomorrow. I walked out the front of the main school gates as mother had instructed the car to pick me up. As a princess's daughter I was made to have a bodyguard to 'guard' me from the minute I wasn't on school property or our house property. Lewis, my personal bodyguard was, as I expected, waiting for me just outside the gates.

"Good Afternoon Madam", He said taking off his hat to acknowledge me. "How was your first day? Meet anyone new?"

"Hello Lewis, Yes I meet some girls but of course no boys! Agh! I'd like to see the boys college around the corner, could we take a detour on the way home?" i added winking.

"Of course my lady, we shall be on our way"

Lewis had been my personal bodyguard ever since I was ten so he and I shared a really personal relationship. I told him all my troubles and he kept my secrets well. He was also great on giving me tips and information about boys.

I was about to hop into the car when three girls who looked about two years younger came running over. They must be juniors and telling by the smiles and girly laughter they wanted a photo but I could be wrong.

"O my goodness, Princess Charlotte!" The first one squealed as she stopped and toke a curtsey. She was tall, skinny but very elegant and I could tell she was the Queen B of her year level. "Welcome to Headington college! We are so glad to have you here! I'm Philipa and this is Harper and Tabitha." She said as she pointed to the two other girls who both nervously smiled and waved. I waved back and then apologised but said i had to get going. They agreed but said to keep and eye out for them around the school as they would love to get to know me. Feeling good about this school already I waved goodbye and jumped in the private car with Lewis to investigate the boys college.

What did I have to worry about? I'm going to fit in here like a glove.........
