There's something about Flynn

Chapter 1 - Charlotte

"Charlotte!," I heard my mother's voice over the intercom from downstairs, "Come out from the bathroom or you shall be late for your first day!"

I groaned and rolled my eyes at Debbie, my loyal personal maid, and signalled her to reply a 'yes' back to my mother. She was a somewhat pushy mother sometimes but it was part of her role and she executed it well.

Living as the first daughter to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sometimes had its downs but the ups were ups and I couldn't be more proud to represent the English royal family as I was fourth in-line to the throne. I was 15 years of age and today was starting High School at one of the most prestigious girls schools in England, Headington college, Oxford.

As soon as I entered my dressing room, Debbie was already in there setting out my perfectly ironed and brand new fresh uniform. First impressions were essential. This was a big deal and as the first girl of the royal family to be attending high school for a long time, there would be press and photographers capturing my every move, especially noting how I would cope under the pressure. Even though I had grown up in the limelight of flashing cameras, I still get butterflies every time.

I stood infront of my long mirror and carefully straightened my navy blue and white checkered skirt worn with a white shirt, blue tie, navy blue jumper and blazer, long white socks and shiny black leather shoes. Satisfied, I sat down in my hair and makeup chair and as on cue, Sophia and Harper started prepping my hair and light makeup (for school). Sophia decided on a high and plump ponytail while Harper put some light powder and foundation on my face to look presentable. I thanked the girls and they wished me good-luck. I think I would need it. Nervously I said goodbye to Debbie and got on my way down the stairs to the main living room. Mother and Father were both waiting for me at the breakfast table in the kitchen, Alice and George were there too. Quickly I ate what our chef, Penelope had cooked and got into the family car.

It was time to start high school.....
