Ribby and Croaks

••••

Come with me to the Inkwell Isles, it's just off the coast, maybe 29 miles
Where there's good and there's bad and there's the in-between
With Cuphead, Mugman, Y/n, you'll see what I mean

Ice cream and rocket trouble never ends!
Watch these ding-dongs as they make new friends! They'll need some help just to stay on track
Oh no! There's that guy you better watch your back!

So, if you're looking for fun!
Yes, we're looking for fun!

With the dash of heebie-jeebies!
We got the heebie-jeebies!

Pack your bags and let's go!
Welcome to the Cuphead Show!

THE TENSION WAS NOTICEABLE between the two brothers. Both of their arms crossed as they faced away from each other, one angry at the other. There inside the kitchen, the fridge was open with buckets of ice-cream melting on the floor and on the fridge, with Elder Kettle reading an old newspaper, not noticing the atmosphere between them.

"So let me get this straight," Cuphead starts, "You expect me to believe that you "sleep-ate" an entire container of ice-cream without waking up?" Cuphead questions, narrowing his eyes at his brother. "Well, you expect me to believe you did." Mugman responds. Cuphead heads towards him, "And just who sleep-eats with a spoon?" Cuphead angrily asks, raising a spoon to his brother's face.

Mugman, who had squinted his eyes at his brother, shoves him away, "People with manners" He responds. Cuphead glares at him, "You're nothing but a common thief!" He shouts, shoving Mugman out of the chair. "You're the thief!" Mugman shouts back, shoving Cuphead.

"No, you are!"

"No, you are!"

At the continuous banter, Elder Kettle gripped on his newspaper in annoyance, wrinkling his paper in the process. "Enough!" Elder Kettle shouts, picking up the two boys by the handle, "I don't know which is worse: you two arguing or Mugman and Y/n's continuous banter" Elder Kettle mutters in annoyance, eyeing the blue mug. "In my defense, she always starts it!" Mugman says in an irritated tone, crossing his arms.

"Enough!" Elder Kettle shouts again. He sighs as he focuses on the main problem, he lets go of the two boy's handle, "You boys are family." In which the two brothers make angry faces at each other, "No use getting bent out of shape about little stuff. Just let it be water under the bridge." Elder Kettle then pulls out a five-dollar bill, "Now, here's five bucks." He says placing the bill on Mugman's cupped hands. "And some pocket lint" He adds, placing the tint on Cuphead's cupped hands. "Go do something fun together! You two are brothers"

Both boys look at each other then back at Elder Kettle, "Why does he always get the five bucks?!" Cuphead argues. "And why does he always get the pocket lint!" Mugman argues back, repeatedly tapping on Cuphead's chest. "No, you do!" Cuphead shouts, shoving Mugman. In which Mugman shoves him back, "No, you do!"

Elder Kettle's smile was then placed with annoyance, "This is just like him and Y/n all over again." Elder Kettle mutters to himself. He never understood why those two are even friends to begin with based on their constant fights and constant disgust towards each other.
