"Yes... All father.." You hesitate after Odin's harsh command slowly stepping out of his quarters
"Why would the all father summon me to kill the beast?..Why not Heimdall?..He's more skilled and trained than I a- You're thoughts get cut briefly as you hear a familiar chuckle " Ah!..You're right! I am in fact more skilled and trained how great of you to notice!" He says with a cocky smirk
You look up to see those same magenta eyes you were expecting and sigh "What do you want Heimdall? I thought you were off on that mission the all father sent you on.."
"Of course that puny little brain of yours would think I was still doing that simple little task.. But.. Unlike you I actually know how to do my job well... Maybe try to succeed while you still have the chance to impress the all father.. And hey! Maybe try to not to fail for once!" He snickers mockingly walking away
You give another defeated sigh as you look down. Suddenly thousands of crows swarm around you each going faster than the other. The sight of the brisk crows was enough to get someone nauseous. You feel yourself getting more and more dizzy as all the crows disappear into black feathers tattered across the dirt. You shake away the feeling of nausea as you grumble and head off to start your mission.
You enter the ivy filled forest with caution as your first enemies approach with murderous intentions. They quickly charge at you giving you no time to react.
You wince at the big slash on you're cheek, and grab you're sword quickly blocking the undeads charge.
After you finish the intense battle, you place a large plaster on you're face stopping the bleeding. "I could've avoided that.." You say quietly trying not to talk from the discomfort of the cut.
You continue walking into the forest yet this time you start to feel more on edge from you're last encounter, each step you walk into the scruffy woodlands grows more fear in you by the second until suddenly the ground lights up.
You immediately take out your weapon and prepare for the worst but- it can't be..No way it's.. The beast itself?.. You study the huge creature looking at all it's features terrified and hold your stance. You can't be serious..How could the all father send me on this mission?.. It's suicide!.. Just then it charges at you making you fly back into the nearest trees almost breaking your back and causes you to blackout.
You slowly wake up in what seems to be a medics place and groan from the unruly pain your experiencing from the battle "Oh my you're finally awake! I'll have to say.. One blow from that monster an you were out cold! How pathetic..You are oh so lucky I was there in that moment or else you would have been dead..so.. You owe me you're life.." You feel annoyance but decide not to say anything "anythings better than wasting my energy on this jerk.." You thought "Oh my! You'll hurt my poor feelings!" He chuckles unironically at the situation and you feel yourself getting more and more upset forgetting of his abilities to see people's thoughts stampering to your feet walking out of the room with him following not too far behind "huh? where are you going now you little worm, can't take me I assume? how pitiful!" You let out a loud groan and throw a flower pot that was right by you in the moment and of course he dodges it with ease laughing at the dumb mistake you made "Ah your gonna have to try harder than that you little worm.." You burst out into angry tears and fall to the floor from exhaustion "Just leave me alone! Why do you like seeing me suffer?!.." He becomes silent for a moment reaching out a hand but repelling it back and leaves not saying a word.
You pick yourself up of the floor and enter Odin's office terrified at what he might say. You arrive in front of him and try to say a word but he cuts you off "It's fine...Heimdall told me that it wasn't your fault.. He killed it anyways right? so there isn't really a problem.. Dismissed I'll give you your next mission in a few days.. You'll be able to recover then correct?" You respond immediately "yes all father.." "Good.." He says in a soft tone. You start to leave until he decides to share a few more words "Hey.. You know you both are my loyal and trusting aides right? Rest up you should be well in no time.. I'll send heimdall with you on your next missions to make sure they go smoothly" you decided not to say anything and nod hesitantly leaving not long after.
A few days later you feel yourself getting more stronger and able to do more activities without getting tired every few seconds and not soon after you get your next mission with Heimdall
You both stay in an uncomfortable silent until he breaks it "damn..it would've been so much better if I didn't have to go with you worm.." You roll yours eyes and continue walking "Hey.. Um.. Heimdall.."
"Huh? What do you want?" "Did you tell.. The all father about my mission" "of course I did! I reported everything right back to him as soon as possible.." "You told him it wasn't my fault?.." "Well.. At the moment at had to give you pity.." "Heimdall.." you took a long pause "Thanks..." He then stops dead in his tracks and then slowly after continues to walk again
"Yeah whatever you little worm..don't expect me to do it again though..you owe me.." He looks away a little frustrated but you can tell he was amused. You continue the mission but feel a little more safer with him besides you.
You complete the mission this time it ran pretty smoothly nothing particularly bad happened besides Heimdall teases
You were pretty satisfied that it was over and went down to Odin's study to report about the mission.
To your expect heimdall was already there. "Ah good.. You guys both came back in one piece..how did it go?" "It went perfectly all father.." You give a small bow as heimdall does the same "I'd say the same thing.." "That's wonderful.. You guys should team up again I'll definitely make sure it happens again.. Dismissed" heimdall spoke in a low tone"b-but..all father-" "dismissed" you both silently walk out of the room.
You were just about to step into the library when- "wait wait wait wait. ... You LIKE the idea of us working together? Ahh that's adorable.. Butttt as you do know the all father just said that to boost your confidence.. We both know he'd never allow me to.. Partner with you again right?"
