You pick up a dusty book wiping it off and flipping to the first page the title reads:
"Asgardian History" you never expected yourself to be into Asgard culture yet it somehow Intrigues you. You fix you're
posture getting comfortable and surprisingly getting really into the book not really paying attention to you're surroundings "well isn't that something. I didn't expect you out of all people to be so into Asgardian culture, sunshine.
" you jump slightly and sigh
"Damn..Heimdall you scared the shit out of me.." He comes closer inspecting the book a little more "do you mind?" You slowly hand him the book "ah I see the first volume..and.. Did you intent on reading all of the books?" "Maybe, it depends if I like it or not" "So.. How is it so far, sunshine?"
You were a little confused because first off when did Heimdall become so nice, and second, where did the nickname come from? You're more used to "worm" than anything. You reply a little conflicted. "It's pretty good so far I suppose.." He hums in amusement. "Ah.. Wonderful" He gradually hands you back the book, and steps out of the library.
That was pretty odd you thought slowly opening the book again and finding the page you were previously on. You start getting into it again until you notice two sets of eyes starring at you. It was Thrud and another boy you haven't seen before.
He had short red hair and a curious look in his eyes like he hasn't been here before.
"Oh hello!" You give a warm smile "who's you're friend Thrud?" "This is Loki" "Ah Loki I've heard about you.. Specifically from Heimdall.." You chuckle "It's nice to meet you Loki" you stick out your hand and he shakes it. "It's nice to meet you too..?"
"Oh right. I'm (Y/N) you seem new I haven't exactly seen you around." "Yeah Loki just arrived not too long ago" "Well then, welcome to Asgard" you smile again and he smiles back "thank you it's pretty nice here." "Anyways I just wanted you to meet him, later (Y/N)!" "Bye you two stay out of trouble" you chuckle again
You remember when you were their age.
You never thought about war. How things have changed since then.
You step out of the library with a few more of the history books, and see Heimdall talking to Loki.
He pushes Loki "You don't belong here.. Nothing good with come out of you being here.." Loki tries to hit back but Heimdall dodges. "Was that really all?" Heimdall
Snickers "Ok that's enough Heimdall" you walk over and put Loki behind you
"Are you really gonna protect that half-breed?" "Yeah I guess I am.." You look at him with a threatening glare and he laughs then goes quiet coming closer to you're face he says in a whisper "You won't always be here to protect him, sunshine.." He looks at Loki then back at you and walks out.
After you know it's safe you turn around and look at the small red haired boy.
"Are you ok Loki?.." "Yeah..I'll be fine.. Thanks for you're help (Y/N)" he gives a bright smile and you can't help but to smile back. He was a nice kid. Very kind and respectful it was comforting.
You decide to call it a day and head to you're room. You lay you're books down on the desk and sigh. What is wrong with Heimdall?.. I wonder why he hates Loki so much..
