CHAPTER ONE

Everyone could bag their own award for being a good actor for how normal they act at work while secretly expressing concern with Vice's well-being.

It's been two weeks of chaos for Vice, who constantly feels tired and woozy. She couldn't really tell why she's being tormented the way it is, given her meticulous attention to everything she ate and drank. Hula nito ay dahil lang sa malalang stress at pagod kaya sya nagkakaganito. She's been leading a well-known noontime show for a long time now at talagang nakaka-baliw ang mga responsibilidad nya rito.

Vice absentmindedly stares at her friend as she is currently stuck in a ridiculous conversation with Jan who continuously insisting that all of this were clear signs of pregnancy.

She was gaping at her friend like he had grown three heads. "Ako?"she points at herself "Buntis?" then points at her belly. She shot him a deadpan look, ngunit mapilit ito habang ine-explain pa kung bakit nya naisip na ganon nga ang kasalukuyang nangyayari kay Vice.

"Bakla ka! Nagpapapaniwala ka kase masyado sa mga nababasa mo sa kung saan-saan, kaya pati ako pinagbibint-" Vice abruptly stopped speaking as she felt her stomach turn upside down. She slapped her hand to cover her mouth and quickly ran off to the corner to throw up, which didn't go unnoticed by her co-hosts who immediately shot each other a worried look before finally running to her side. Vice couldn't help but feel embarrassed, feeling the collective confused and worried glances that were being thrown at her by the staff.

"Sis! What's happening?" Anne nearly shouted in panic.

Akala ni Vice ay mawawala ang ganitong pakiramdam kapag umiwas ito sa stress, ngunit akala nya lang pala. Her health continues to worsen day by day. Last week ay naisipan nitong bumisita sa kaniyang doctor, pero dahil makulit rin ito ay ipinagsawalambahala nya na lamang ang kanyang kondisyon sa akalang normal fatigue ang nararamdaman.

"Anne, okay lang ak-" Oh but that was a lie. This time, she gained everyone's attention as she continued throwing up, paying no mind to her co-hosts, who were beginning to blow in full panic.

For a moment, she chose to forget her surroundings, focusing her mind on her breathing to lessen her wooziness. She snapped back to reality when she heard Jhong. He was forcing her to go back to her dressing room to rest, that led Anne and Ogie nod in agreement.

"Hinde. Kaya ko, promise." she protested. The three just looked at each other before turning back to Vice. They knew there would be no room for an argument because she had already made a decision. They eventually gave in, but told Vice to inform them if she ever changes her mind. Vice smiled, giving a small nod before snatching her mic from Dumbo, who led them back to the stage for the next segment.

Showtime Sexy Babe started off smoothly. Everyone is busy doing adlibs dahil hindi pa alam ni Anne ang gagawin, hindi rin ito na-brief about sa segment dahil biglaan ang pag-pasok nito sa trabaho. Jhong led a short banter, but that was only for a minute before Vice stilled and darkness swallowed her whole vision.

Chaos

Chaos is an understatement. Kung ano man ang nangyayare ngayon ay talagang higit pa sa sobrang kaguluhan. Frantic co-hosts and staff were shuffling around the studio, shouting and signaling for the remaining hosts to announce a quick commercial break.

Jhong was the first one to catch his senses so he faced the camera and did what needs to be done. "Madlang pipol- tumutok lamang po kayo at babalik agad-agad ang 'It's Showtime'." he announces.
