Percy Jackson: The Son of Chaos/ Book 1-Never Again

Chapter Two:

I was so sad that the love of my life had abandoned me for that BRAT! I did so much for her! I killed Kronos, defeated the Titans and Giants, put Gaea back to sleep, and fell into Tartarus for her!!! Ugh! I was hidden behind the trunk of a tree right now. I watched them as they kissed and started talking bad things about me. It put me to tears. I walked out of my binding place and slowly walked over to them, clapping my hands like the villain in a movie.

"Well, well, well, look what we have here. The daughter of Athena, my girlfriend, and the son of Hecate, the boy she is cheating on me on." I said, my voice dangerously calm, "And to think! Ha! That I was going to propose to her today!" Then I laughed a laugh only an insane person can muster.

I walked over to the Hecate spawn and dug my hand into my pocket. I fished out the grey velvet box that contained the ring and placed it into his hands.

"Why don't YOU propose to her instead, huh?!?" And with that I stormed away, leaving a shocked couple behind me.

I flopped down onto my bed in my cabin, crying my eyes out over the one girl I loved. That was when I was suddenly flashed to Olympus. I sat up, tears streaming down my face, crying silent tears, as I stared at the gods. They looked at me like they had something to say, but they decided against it. I tried to get up, but I couldn't, so I just sat there, on the floor in Olympus, hugging myself, rocking back and forth, sobbing into my knees.

Zeus POV:
We were in the middle of a meeting in the throne room when Aphrodite screamed and fell off of her throne. At that second, we heard another scream, and in came Eros, the Primordial of Love. He bounded over to Aphrodite and they sat on the floor crying. What love is strong enough to affect both Aphrodite and Eros? That was when my question was answered.

"Percabeth! Ruined!" Cried Aphrodite.
"The wretched Athena spawn!" Wailed Eros.
"We are so, so, so, so, so, sorry Percy!" They screamed together.

That left all us gods shocked. Wondering what ever could have happened to the savior of Olympus this time. So I decided to flash him to Olympus. When he got here, he was lying facedown, quietly sobbing into the floor. He must have noticed us, as he tried to get up, but seemed to only be able to sit up. He wrapped his arms around himself, rocking back and forth, he cried into his knees, and if you were quiet enough, you could almost hear him muttering "Annabeth" over and over. We stared at our savior in shock, not knowing what to do.

Percy POV:
I felt the gods staring at me, so I stopped rocking. I couldn't get up. It was like I was stuck to the floor. I just stared back at them, tears streaming down my already tear stained cheeks. Someone put a hand on my shoulder and I looked over to see Aphrodite and Eros looking back at me. They knelt next to me, and gave me a tight squeeze. They hung on to me as I looked back up at the gods.

"Perseus," I flinched when Zeus said my name. "What happened?" He asked, for once sounding truly concerned.

I just shook my head, I did not want to answer that. He seemed to understand. I gently pushed Aphrodite and Eros off me, and they got up and walked to their separate places in the throne room. I got up, the tears continuing to flow, and brushed off my pants. I wiped my nose and dried my eyes with my sleeve. I looked at the gods. I bowed to each of them and turned around to leave. The moment I stepped through the doors, I was lifted off the ground and a strange face appeared. I screamed. All the gods ran out of the throne room to see what had happened. When they saw the guy they had looks of confusion on their face, then their eyes drifted down to me.

The person who had lifted me off the ground, held me by my hair with one hand and put his other hand over my mouth. He turned me to face the gods. My eyes had tears in them, from the pain of being lifted off the ground by my hair, and from Annabeth. That was when the mysterious dude spoke.
