This will be more of an extra kind of chapter to give you guys more time to decide who you want for Second-in-Command and a shipping. At the moment Nico is leading for Second-in-Command and Luke for shipping.
This will have relevance to the chapter and is important.

Third Person POV

Two children ran through the snow covered woods of Tennessee, chasing each other happily.
Both were wearing thick jackets and mittens, the clothing stolen from a nearby store.
Both were dark haired, and both were pale-though for different reasons, one had dark brown eyes-almost black, and the other had the same-but with blue/green flecks in them.
They were of different ages, one at the age of 12, the other 14. Though the 14 year old was older, she was shorter, at a mere 4'11" to her companion's 5'5", and had too much innocence. Her innocence was that of a 10 year-old's, and her friends desperately wanted to keep her away from anything that might corrupt her dear friend.

"You can't catch me!" The shorter one called.

"You know running isn't my thing!" The dark eyed one retorted.

"Yeah, but I have bad knees, and I'm still winning!"

The two ran faster, each trying to beat the other, approaching the finish line.

"I win!" The shorter one called out.

"Dammit Faith!" The dark eyes one said.

"Sorry Esperanza," the one now identified as Faith said, her flecked eyes sparkling with mirth.

Suddenly, an animalistic roar was heard, shaking the trees and causing the ground to tremble as the pounding of hooves and feet sounded.

"RUN!"

The two ran as fast as they could, wanting to get away from the monsters they knew were chasing them.

"Daughter of night and daughter of the sea, reveal yourselves and receive less pain!" A shrill voice shrieked.

The two dove behind a bush, hiding their quivering forms, and trying to stay quiet.

"Come out, come out wherever you are!"

A branch snapped as the two glared at the bird that had made the noise.

The monsters snapped their heads over to where the girls were hiding, and one cyclops cautiously walked over.

The cyclops uprooted the bush, only to get smacked in the head by a thick tree branch.

The girls blew raspberries, and sprinted away.

"Get them!"

The monsters were gaining on the quickly tiring girls, and had soon formed a circle around them.

They each took out the weapons that they had-a sword named Tsunami that her mother had given Faith before she died, and a blue ribbon attached to a thick metal base, that is spelled to regrow the ribbon every time it gets cut.
Esperanza took out her dual swords-Hate and Star-made of deadly black metal-the type unknown to anyone.

They got in their fighting stance, back to back, their weapons at the ready. They had practiced fighting together plenty of times before, and together, they were a deadly duo.

The monsters surrounded them in a circle, and the girls turned in a circle, backs pressed against each other, as the monsters pressed closer.

"Now!" Esperanza screamed.

The two girls charged-or leaped.

Esperanza slashed with her swords, the deadly black metal cutting clean through the air, and she spun in circles, slashing and stabbing at anything that got near her.

Faith danced a deadly dance, using her ballet experience to help her. She leaped at the monsters, twirling her ribbon, getting as many as she could entangled in it, before pulling the ribbon tight, cutting off their air supply, and slashing through them with her sword.

They taught together, helping each other when they saw that help was needed for the other.

Together they demolished the monsters-all 30 of them, and collapsed,  exhausted at the base of a tree.

Their clothes had been ripped and shredded in places, some of their skin exposed to the snow and rigid air.

They fell asleep as a storm blew in, slowly blanketing their bodies with the snow.

---

Up above, on a different planet, the watchers of planet earth had watched at the two girls fight, and had called for their lord.

"Yes?" Chaos appeared in front of the watchers, and they explained the situation.

Intrigued, Chaos researched the girls' backgrounds and checked their potential. Satisfied, he had two healers flash away to retrieve the girls.

---

The healers approached the mound in f snow covering the two freezing girls, and quickly pulled them out.

The girls' skin had begun to turn blue and ice crystals had already formed in their hair. They were shivering, and hypothermia was beginning to take them over.

Wrapping each girl in a large quilt, each healer picked up one of the girls and carried them, teleporting them to the Infirmary in Chaos' palace, where the Son of Poseidon lay-still comatose.

TADA! Esperanza was developed by WolfHowler1 and Faith was developed by me, @DemigodInTraining . If I had told you I would use your character previously, I still am, but you will appear in time. I promise.
Anyways, what did you think? I know, OCs...but still, did I write it okay? Comment your thoughts!
