The Eevee's Path

Introduction

"Every Eevee has a special talent," the ancient books say. Even though it may take a while for some, every Eevee shall evolve, some breaking boundaries with their evolution.

There was an Eevee, however, that made history. She was jealous of all the other Eevees who she knew that had evolved.

She was the only Eevee in her friend group, and the others were Sylveon, Glaceon, and Leafeon. She was amazed at all their talents. Leafeon could slice a tree in half with its leaf blades! Glaceon can summon freezing blizzards! Sylveon can slay large dragons!

And Eevee? She had none of those talents.
She was just a tinier, useless version. She kept asking other Pokémon how she could evolve. And none of them knew. Heck, some of them said they evolved in their sleep!

But she wasn't ready to give up yet. In fact, in her mind, she felt like she could run into a volcano and then become a Flareon. That's not how you turn into a Flareon, but she didn't know. She had an ambitious mind.

So she went into a science lab, and some scientists there said: "Oh, it's a little Eevee. What are you here for?"
Eevee said, "I want to know, how do I evolve? All my friends have found their 'hidden purpose' or whatever it's supposed to be. What is mine? Ooh, what about those shiny stones?"

She got a little carried away, sure, but she had a point. The scientists said, "Well, unfortunately we haven't studied evolution too much..."
Eevee interrupted.
"SO THEN WHAT AM I EVEN HERE FOR!?!?!"
"Woah, woah, calm down. What's your level?"
"Um, I don't know."
"That helps. But try one of these evolution stones. Here, which one strikes you fancy?"

She took her time carefully looking at the stones, and she saw her reflection in the stones. They were all full of color.

"I wanna be a Flareon! I WANNA SHOOT FIREBALLS! I WANNA BREATHE FIRE!!!!"

"Okay, put your adorable paw on this Fire Stone."
The scientists covered their face with their hands, expecting the stone to glow and the Eevee to evolve.

But, when she took her paw off the stone, nothing happened. She tried shouting the cry of a Flareon, but all that came out was a quiet "vee vee eev ee"...

"WHAT???" NOTHING HAPPENED!?!??!", they both said.
The scientists finally said, "sorry, looks like we can't help you anymore. Have a nice day."
Eevee stomped in a tantrum, but she understood.

She sadly walked out the door, when suddenly her snooty sister Sylveon came.

Normally, Sylveon are kind, calm, creatures, but not her sister. She kept bothering her and bragging what a beautiful Eeveelution she was. She was always pushing it in her little sister's face that she just couldn't evolve.

"Hey, have you ever seen my BABY sister?"
"No, not until now, actually. She really badly wants to evolve," the scientists said.

Eevee was very mad that she exaggerated the word baby. Whenever her big sister did this, it meant that she really wanted to bully her. "UGHH," Eevee said as she pushed past her sister, who was over 2 feet taller than her.

As soon as she bolted out the door, Sylveon said, "She's being a real jerk right now. Such a nuisance to deal with. Anyways, how's your boring studying going?" The scientist let out a tiny grunt, and he was annoyed as well.

"Its going. How about you?"
"Ehhh, just fine."
"What do you want, anyway?"
"uh, uh, nothing really. Just wanted to check up on you."
"Okay, well I'm just fine."
Sylveon let out a cry and scattered confetti all over the place as she leaped out of the door.
"Ugh, this is going to be SUCH a mess to clean up. UGGGGHHHH...."

"hehehe," Sylveon smirked.
"you LITTLE RASCAL!!!"
"Just doing my job," Sylveon said.

Eevee was running out on a path. She she wanted to go to the Pond of Wisdom, which is where you can learn how to evolve. The voice coming from the Pond of Wisdom especially knew about Eevee and its evolutions, so Eevee knew that this was the exact place to go. So she set out on a journey...
