Part 10

Meanwhile in the car, Lisa scoot closer to the fuming figure beside her. She swore she could feel Jennie breathe fire when her shoulder finally touched Jennie's. But she still braced herself. Like Niki said, she needs to own up to her faults. She was being a jerk while her members were just looking out for her and she was making it difficult, especially for Jennie.

"I'm sorry, Nini." She started.

No response. Jennie kept looking out the window. Her eyes hidden under the black glasses.

"I'm really sorry about what I said earlier. I didn't mean any of that. I was just being a jerk." Lisa tried again.

Silent.

"I know you are very angry right now but..."

"I'm not angry." Jennie interrupted.

Oh..that's the worst. If Jennie is not angry then she's hurt. She quickly wrapped her arms around the smaller girl's shoulders.

"I'm so so sorry, Nini. I really do. Please tell me what I can do to make it up to you. Please, Nini.."

Jennie let out a long sigh. "Lisa....you know how I am. I will keep on being controlling and now that you said your piece, I know you don't really like what I'm doing after all. So maybe you should try to live your own life from now on? I will not interfere anymore.."

Lisa pulled Jennie's face to look at her. "No! Nini please don't say that, no! I want you to care about me. I want you to interfere in my life. Earlier, that's just me trying to be stubborn. I'll always listen to you. You know that."

"So, what about this morning? Didn't I tell you not to take the bike? You even have the audacity to run away from your assigned security!"

"I'm going to return it to Bam, honest! Scouts honor! But I just want to have one short ride before I let it go. I even let your guard follow me around too. I don't run away from them like I want to because I know you'll be worried."

Jennie let out a frustrated sigh. "Lili, you know we're just doing this because we are concerned about you. We don't want you to get hurt!"

"I know that! Even Niki said the same thing!"

"That Niki! Ever since you know her you've been getting a bit rebellious lately. You kept questioning us. Me. Especially in front of her. Why is that?"

"No Nini, don't say that. It doesn't have anything to do with her at all. This is all on me."

"So if I tell you not to be friends with her anymore will you listen to me? Remember, Lili. You said you will do anything to make it up to me."

"Erm but...."

Jennie pulled down her shades. The eyes glaring at her made her gulped hard.

"Say that again?"

"Urgh..okay, Nini. If you said so." Lisa pouted.

"You promise not to talk to her anymore?"

"Uh huh."

"Pinky promised me." Jennie put up her pinky.

"But that's sacred!" Lisa replied scandalously.

Jennie just rolled her eyes. "That's because I can't really trust you with the normal one. Especially not after what you're doing today."

"Fiineeee..I promised I'll never talk to Niki again." Lisa grabbed Jennie's pinky with her own pinky.

Jennie let out a relief sigh. She then leaned forward and pushed the divider screen down button. When the driver made eye contact with her, she gave her instructions.
