The Fellowship of the Ring
In Rivendell...
I woke up with light shining through my window. I got up and looked at myself in the mirror. My long brown hair was messy, and my brown eyes were still drowsy from waking up. I was quite tall for a hobbit. I was 5'3, which is practically a giant compared to others, but I was born with a genetic mutation, so I have gotten used to it. I walked outside in my normal green outfit. I was roaming Rivendell. That's when I saw Frodo and Bilbo. I ran up to them and hugged Bilbo. Tears of joy running down my face. We spent a few days in Rivendell. Then it was time for a secret council meeting. Me and Frodo were invited which surprised me greatly. I braided my hair in an intricate half up half down look. I then walked in the halls. Going to where I was told to go. I saw Aragorn up ahead and I ran to him, calling his name.
"Hello, Autumn. Are you ready?" He asked me. We stopped right as we were about to walk into the meeting. I nodded and walked in; my head held high. I immediately saw Frodo and I smiled. He was looking way better than he was when he was stabbed by a super freaky looking thing called a black rider. I sat next to Frodo and waited for the council to start. The council soon started, and I pretty much zoned out the whole time. It was just a bunch of old people talking about the end of the world blah blah blah blah blah blah. Until everyone stood and started arguing. I just sat there and listened. I suddenly feel a strange weight come over me. A weird voice was whispering in my head. I was getting weaker, and my head pounded.
"I will take it!" Frodo speaks. I am snapped out of my trance. "Though I don't know the way. 'Then Gandalf walks over to him.
"I will help you bear this burden, Frodo Baggins, as long as it is yours to bear."
"If, by my life or death, I can protect you, you have my sword." Aragorn says, kneeling in front of Frodo.
"And my bow." A tall elf stands. I look at him and his long blonde hair and blue eyes. How does he keep all that hair so silky? Like what?
I look at Frodo and I make up my mind. "I'm coming too."
Everyone looks at me and raises their eyebrows. Suddenly the elf I was looking at 2 seconds ago speaks. "But you surely cannot fight, you have no use to us." I raise my eyebrows in disbelief. "And you are a woman." He finishes.
I am filled with anger. Who does this guy think he is? "Really? Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure." I say in a sarcastic tone. The dwarf laughs.
"I like her." The dwarf states. I smile.
Legolas just looks at me with a raised eyebrow and slight amusement. I smirk at him and make my way towards everyone else.
"You carry the fate of us all, little one." Boromir says, stepping forward. "If this is indeed the will of the Council, then Gondor will see it done."
We all stand together and face Elrond. I make sure not to stand next to the elf. Then Sam, Pippin, and Merry come from out of nowhere and join the group. I am relieved that they chose to come.
"10 companions, you shall be called the Fellowship of the Ring."
We are then dismissed, and I make for my room. I shut the door and start packing. Then the weight of it all comes crashing down on me. I start to cry as I lay on my bed. I can't do this. But these thoughts soon were gone as I fell asleep to the sound of my tears.
~~~~~TIME SKIP~~~~~
The sun was warm on my face as I stood outside. Waiting for the others to come. I do a whole 360 in awe of how beautiful Rivendell was. I grip my sword. It was given to me by Elrond, he also gave me a bow. (He thought it would be easier for me to use until I learn how to use the sword properly) I was given a normal sized sword, for I am not a normal hobbit. Frodo got Sting, Bilbo's sword. He always favored Frodo over me. I always wondered why. Maybe it is because I am not normal. Being so tall and having small feet instead of big hairy ones. (Not that I'm complaining)
Then I felt a tingle down my spine, and I gripped one of my elvish daggers. I spun and pointed my dagger at the on looker. At the other end of it was Legolas. He didn't flinch and just stared at me. Almost bragging. Oh, look at me I didn't flinch when you pointed a dagger at me, I'm soooo great. I rolled my eyes and put my dagger away.
"What do you want?" I asked. Walking past him so my back was to him.
"I came to ask your name." I stopped walking. I hesitated before speaking.
"Autumn." I turned to him. "Autumn Baggins of the Shire."
He started walking towards me and I stood my ground. He kept coming closer and closer. I began to feel uncomfortable, but I wouldn't let it show. I notice that he is much taller than me which is a bit intimidating.
"Why do you come?" He asks, looking down at me.
"Because Frodo is my brother. I will not leave him. Especially not with you." I narrowed my eyes at him. I don't like him very much because of his words at the council meeting.
"He is your brother?" Duh. You dim-witted orc. "You are not like him.... you are no hobbit."
As I am about to reply to Boromir, Aragorn, and Gimli all emerge from Rivendell. I quickly take a step back from Legolas.
"Aragorn, have you seen Frodo and the others?" I ask. He shakes his head. I wait impatiently for them to arrive. Once everyone had arrived Lord Elrond blessed our journey, and we were off.
