-Rebecca
I waited for Michael to meet me, and he did.
He spoke first, looking down, "Hey."
"Michael."
"Rebecca." He repsonded.
"Yea?" I don't know why, but I soon got nervous.
He let out a big breath and closed his eyes shut, only to open them almost immediate, "I- I. Luke is my best mate. He's been there since we were in primary school. He's like my brother, and I can't keep hurting him. I can't keep hurting you."
"I undertand. And I was going to say the same thing. Micheal your a-"
"You were a mistake."
My eyes widen, I was confused, because the way he said it made my stomach churn.
"You were a huge mistake, that I wish I could take back." He continued.
I stood there speechless, unable to respond.
"I don't even know why I let this happen, your not the one for me, or to even develop feelings for. A mistake. That's all you are."
I dont know why, but I just wanted to cry.
He started walking up to me with his arms open, but I got off the swing, and shook my head.
"I didn't want to hurt you." He whispered, backing up.
I don't know if I was angry or sad or just shocked and plain out hurt.
"That's awfully funny. Thats not what you said the night it finally happened." I spat out. Sudeenly remebering the night we kissed.
"That's different-" He began.
"Really?"
"Yea, no that's not what I mean!"
He backed away completely this time, it looked like he wanted to cry,"I'm done. I'm sorry."But I couldn't let that get to me
"Fuck you Michael ."
