Chapter 15

KOURTNEY POV

So when we got there August, Kari, and I got off the plane first. We told everyone where to go, what time to do what, who they were staying with, and where they were staying. I put Kari's stuff with Shauna and gave Kari to Momma Sheila. August wanted to do the nasty but I wanted to wait until we were married. Not meaning that I'm a virgin because I obviously am not but it feels like I am still pure, you know.

"Can we pleaseeee go sight seeing?" I begged August.

"Naw. I wanna stay here."

"Fine then I am going without you." I teased and laughed.

"Nope. You staying here." He grabbed me and pinned me down on the bed.

"August get off of me. I want to go sight seeing. Please please please please please please please please please please please please." I kept begging him.

"Iight ma but I get to choose where to go."

"Nooo August you are gonna choose some lover's lane or some shit. I wanna go explore the world while I can." I said dramatically.

"Okay drama queen. But hey what you mean when you said 'i wanna go explore the world while I can'?" he said.

Shit he caught that. Had to cover it up with a lie.

"You know we have Kari and we can't travel all the time when we have her." I lied.

"Yes we can or she can stay with Journey,-"

"Has Kamille." I interrupted trying to think of reasons why we can't travel.

"Momma Shiela."

"Lives to far."

"Your mom."

"She gotta job and Kadence."

"Kadence."

"Got school."

"Chris."

"To busy with Journey, Kamille, and making music."

"Lucas."

"To busy with Sky."

"Nicki."

"Planning her wedding and busy making music.

"Baby I'm starting to think you don't want to travel with me."

"I do it's just I don't want to go anywhere without Kari." which is true but it's not the only reason.

"Well we can take her with us."

"We can't take her everywhere August."

"Why not?"

"I can give you 5 reasons:

1) She can get sick.

2) We won't enjoy ourselves like we can.

3) She will take to much time to take care of.

4) She is going to miss the fun of her daycare that is EXPENSIVE.

5) That's just bad parenting."

"Okay lemme give you the good things about those 5 reasons:

1) She can't get sick if we vaccinate her.

2) We will enjoy ourselves because you will be with me and Kari.

3) She does not. She only need to be feed, changed, and played with.

4) What is more fun that spending a day with your mommy and daddy?

5) It's not bad parenting if we spend every moment possible with our child."

Everything he was saying is wrong! He doesn't understand me. I was shaking my head the whole time he was speaking. He just doesn't get it.

"Okay August. I really don't want to argue. I just need to sleep so I can get ready for this wedding tomorrow." I said dismissing this.

"Wait Kourtney. You said that like it was a task. You don't sound excited for this wedding."

"I'm just tired and jet lagged. I'm fine. I really do want to marry you." I said walking into the bathroom to change. When I came out August was sleep and sprawled out on the bed.

"Well goodnight and I love you too." I said rudely even though I know he didn't hear me. I fell asleep. I woke up in the middle of the night to horrible pains in my stomach. Almost as bad as when I was pregnant with Kari. I couldn't be pregnant because I hadn't had sex. I looked down at my stomach and saw a knife sticking out. There was blood all over the bed. I saw a shadow disappear out of the window. I woke up August and he was screaming for help. I took out the knife held my stomach. I looked at the knife. It said

U wanna play. I can play real dirty -S

Who the fuck is this. I don't have enough energy but I did it anyway. I screamed August name. He came running in and I handed him the knife. Before I could see his expression everything was coming away from me. I didn't feel any pain any sound. Nothing.
