if it weren't for her best friend, she would've slapped the son of poseidon already. yes, it's horrible of her to think so — but he's been getting on her nerves, especially when he had the audacity to spar with her own best friend during training, when it should be her that spars with melodia tuffin. you know, like it has always been?

She wasn't going to let some seaweed brained kid take away her best friend (even if that wasn't the case at all and just wanted help... as well as rile up the daughter of athena, which was working tremendously without fail).

percy jackson just loves to see the blonde holding herself back just so she wouldn't hurt him, knowing full well that if she did, melodia would not even be the least bit happy with her actions. the daughter of aoide is adamant with peace, not wars and fights. to see her two friends fighting made her heart drop — but it was expected. the children of two "enemy" gods wouldn't exactly get along immediately.

but, she had hope. she saw the goodness in both of her friends.

if only they saw it too.

"and it's all... for you~"

as she finished, the blonde resting on her lap smiles, opening her eyes to see a pair of dark blue eyes staring back, the fondness shining.

this caused annabeth's cheeks to glow a light shade of red, from her neck, to her ears — and her cheeks, she felt hot. and how, just a simple look of adoration from her best friend, sends her heart pounding.

gods, she loves it, the way melodia makes her feel. every single day, since the day they met — four years ago where her little songbird sang to her back to health, in the infirmary. she loves the way melodia's touch sent tingles around — shivers down her spine as the intense, addictive feeling of wanting more surfaces — again and again.

annabeth hoped the feeling would never go away — because it's the most addicting feeling she could ever experience in her life.

"beautiful, ada," annabeth breathes out, and clueless little melodia — never knew that it was her that the blonde was referring to. yet, she was thankful.

sure, she's smart — but she doesn't exactly know what she would do if melodia finds out that annabeth likes her. after all, the ginger is considered as a... traditionalist. and everyone knows how difficult it will be if she would continue to love her.

but annabeth didn't care.

she'll be hurt, yes, but she chose to love her unconditionally — and she will continue to love melodia unconditionally, even if she'll be experiencing the worst pain imaginable, heartbreak.

"it's beautiful." annabeth said after a while, her body relaxing on the girl's lap.

"thank you, anna." melodia says her thanks, only adding the redness on annabeth's cheeks — fuck. "do you want to hear another one?"

"if it's okay for you?" the blonde asks, hesitant. she wanted to hear more of her harmonic voice, letting herself rest after everything that had stressed her. she...

she just wanted more time with her, that's all.

all annabeth got was a smile from her — and gods, did she feel so light.

"for you, always."

yup, annabeth chase definitely fell in love with her all over again.
