Demise (Tw: Suicide)

I found a hole to bury myself deep inside your heart
A seed bearing fruits of self-loathing and unbridled rage
Over time I've rooted myself much deeper than this hole
Love cannot fell my trunk
Sadness waters my roots and veins
Yet my own fruits slowly burn away at me
They burn and they burn
All the while I grow and I grow
I tell you the things you don't want to hear
I make all my lies truth by showing you the small secrets they hide
I'm louder than your heart
Hiding away all your joy
You'll never be who you want
You'll die in a body you hate
You'll be ensnared by my lies forevermore
And one day
I'll lead you happily off to your demise
I'll pull the trigger on the bullet for your brain
I'll plug in the cord for the toaster in your tub
I'll drive the car as you step out in the road
I'll be the hand that pushes you off that buildings ledge
And I'll be the noose that hangs round your neck
Don't worry about the method
Don't worry about the people
Just follow me along the way
I am the monster buried deep in your heart
The self-loathing you planted
A wolf in sheep's clothing
And I'll see you reach your desired demise
