Her Ring (SEQUEL TO UNIVERSITY LOVE)

POV OF: NO ONE

It was a very special day for Meiko and Luka. It was their one year anniversary as girlfriends. They fell in love as university students and have been madly in love with each other ever since. But Luka had a special surprise for her that night.

POV OF: MEIKO

I sat next to my girlfriend, both of us exchanging loving looks to each other along with kisses here and there. It was our one year together and I was so happy.

My lover kissed me again and spoke to me softly.

"Happy one year to us my darling.. I love you more than anyone in this world."

"Aw, Luka. I love you too," I say as we exchange another kiss.

POV OF: LUKA

I grab the engagement ring out of my purse and hide it behind me. I say to myself 'Ok, it's time.'

"Hey, Meiko. Can you stand up? I have a little surprise," I say.

"Oh, sure!" She says, standing up.

"I've been considering this decision for a while now. I decided to wait until a particularly special day, so I figured our one year would be absolutely perfect.. Are you ready?"

POV OF: MEIKO

As I hear my girlfriend say those words, my heart starts racing.

"Yes," I say in response.

"In that case.." she says.

And then it happened.

She gets down on one knee and pulls out a box. "Meiko.. will you marry me?"

I was speechless. I put my hands over my mouth and started sobbing. They were tears of joy.

"YES!" I exclaim happily as she gets up and puts the engagement ring on my finger.

"I love you," I whisper softly as we share another romantic moment that felt just like our very first date.

"I love you too Meiko."

I knew right there that I wasn't her girlfriend anymore. I was her fianceé.

THE NEXT NIGHT | POV OF: MEIKO

I went home to see my best friends for our sleepover. I brought Luka with me too.

"Hey guys!" Miku exclaims.

"HOLD ON. Meiko, what's that ring?" Rin asks.

I whisper to Luka, "Should we tell them?"

She says yes, and I prepare. The words finally leave my mouth.

"Well.. me and Luka are... engaged."

Everyone was shocked.

"No way. SINCE WHEN??" Miku asks.

"Since last night. She proposed for our anniversary," I answer.

"Congratulations!" Everyone says to us.

TIME JUMP: A DAY LATER | POV OF: LUKA

I go with my mom to a bridal shop. It was time to officially begin preparations for me and Meiko's wedding.

"So, what kind of dress do you want?" she asks.

I look around, trying to find the perfect dress. I see one that catches my eye right away. It was a white, sleeveless dress that sparkled.

"That one is perfect."

After we get it adjusted we head home. I try it on and say to myself,

"This is beautiful. I know she'll love it."

TIME JUMP: THE DAY OF THE WEDDING | POV OF: MEIKO

I put on my dress and veil. I knew that today the girl I met a year and one month ago would become my wife.

When it's time, I walk down the aisle, bouquet in hand. It's time.

TIME JUMP: ≈30 MINUTES LATER | POV OF: LUKA

"...I now pronounce you as wives." the officiator says as I inch closer to Meiko and kiss her. I carry her bridal style for a picture.

DURING THE AFTER PARTY | POV OF: MEIKO

I put my hand out and ask her for a dance. She obliges, wrapping my arms around her back. Luka puts her hands on the back of my neck, and right when the music starts she starts swaying me gently.

Our noses touch as we share another moment together. I knew right away our love would last forever.

"Luka.. I love you so much."

"I love you more."

THE NEXT DAY | POV OF: LUKA

"So, have you decided where we're going for our honeymoon?" My wife questions.

"Mhm. We're going to Paris."

I was shocked.

"No way.. It's been my dream to go there ever since I was little!"

"Well then, I guess i just made your dream come true," she says with a smile.

"You're so sweet.. I love you." I say as I kiss her.

IN PARIS; EIFFEL TOWER | POV OF: MEIKO

We finally managed to get to the highest point that tourists could go. We went to watch the sunset together.

"It looks breathtaking out here.." I say in shock.

"Yes, but not as breathtaking as you," she flirts.

"Aw, stop it. You're gonna make me blush.."

We both shared a romantic kiss together before we left.

AFTER THEIR HONEYMOON | POV OF: LUKA

After we finally arrived home at the new house we bought while we were on our honeymoon, we went into the main bedroom and sat down.

"So.. Luka," my wife says as she lays her head down on my shoulder.

I start rubbing circles on her back.

"Yes, my love?" I reply.

"I was wondering.. Since we're married now, maybe we could make this our bedroom?"

That made me very flustered.

"O-our bedroom?" I stutter slightly.

"Mhm. We could even frame our wedding picture and set it on our nightstand!"

I blush.

"Alright, let's do it."

After we finished we decided to lay down and relax. Meiko snuggled up right next to me causing me to blush. I don't hesitate and snuggle with her, rubbing her back.

"Luka.. I love you." my wife whispers as she falls asleep in my arms.

"I love you too honey.. I love you too."

We both ended up snuggling and taking a nap.
