Chapter Five - Factory Reset

It was morning in the Dino Bite Cafe. Chase was on the grills as usual, Shelby was waitressing with Riley, and Tyler was cooking with Koda. Eliott had already been at work for an hour or two before the others as his schedule was very full this particular day, many tasks had to be done and he wanted to get it done as soon as possible.

He decided to take a 10-minute break and hang out with his friends at the cafe. He walked into the restaurant and waved politely to the other staff, then hastily approached them.

Chase noticed him first, "Hey, Eliott I was just about to come find you."

"O-oh, oh yeah what's up mate?"

Chase lowered his voice, "Look, Kendall has me stuck in here all day. There's a very specific board I need for my skateboard but Kendall won't let me go, the skate shop down town have it on sale but it ends today. I really need you to get it for me. In fact, I'll even give you the money." Chase explained while pulling out several dozen dollars worth of money.

"Sure." Eliott took the money and placed his morpher and comm on the table, making sure he wasn't seen, before putting the money in his pocket. Chase immediately left to man the grill again, "I can squeeze in a few minutes." he bites his cheek.

Shelby walked over to him, "Hey Eliott, can you just take this to table 5? The guy's like super rude." she asked, handing him the tray of food.

"No problem."

He took the food to its respective table and almost walked into Tyler after doing so, "Woah!" he exclaimed.

"Eliott, I need your help." he urged.

"Sure, what is it?

"Can you fix my phone? I dropped it into the food and now it won't turn on." Tyler handed him his red-cased phone.

Eliott quickly had a look at it, "I'll see what I can do, I'll be about an hour." Tyler thankfully hugged him and skipped off.

He went to talk to one of the others but Miss Morgan called him before he could do so.

"Eliott." she caught up to him.

"Yeah?"

"I need to go into the lab to work on something, so I need you to work a bit of extra time and cover for me, ok?" she requested.

"Uh- Course." she walked off quickly, leaving him alone. He checked his watch and he already wasted 10 minutes. He sighed, rubbing his eyes. He leaves in a hurry and doesn't notice that his pockets were significantly lighter than before.

For the next hour or so, he buried himself in his work, he covered for Miss Morgan and did his own job then he also fixed Tyler's phone. He was shattered by the end of it but there was still more to do.

He quickly jogged back to the cafe and returned Tyler's phone, which earned him a tight hug as thanks when he successfully turned it on.

Now he had to find and buy the board Chase had asked him for. He told him the name of the store that sold it and Eliott assumed it was downtown, so he left the museum and headed for the nearest shopping centre.
