"I sure hope Kendall's right about the gold energem." Tyler comments as he, Koda, Riley and Chase enter the cafe.
"You and me both." I respond, turning the corner and joining them.
The five sat around a large table in their excavation uniforms. "Kendall said we should check the south west creek beds." Tyler informs.
"Okay we're looking for pteradactyl fossil. That's the dinosaur that bonded with the gold energem." Riley says.
"Actually, pteradactyl-us was a large flying reptile, not a dinosaur." I correct him nonchalantly.
Shelby approaches the table with a giant tray. "Free samples. Chef's trying a new recipe." She tells us. Immediately everyone vyes for a slice of the cake she presented.
"Awesome!" Tyler says excitedly but the slice was knocked from his hands by Riley. "Hm, a bit tasteless." He eyes said green ranger.
"Nobody touch it." Riley orders.
"No cake?" Koda questions, mouth agape.
"Chill bro, a little cake never hurt anyone." Chase scolds him.
"Yeah, tell that to them." Riley points at a few customers who are groaning in pain and holding their jaws. Sinister laughing rings from the kitchen and Tyler points out a monster behind the counter.
"You guys take the front, we'll go through the kitchen." He orders to Chase, Riley and I.
"We'll cut him off!" Chase calls back.
Once we're outside, our comms beep, "He escaped out the back."
"Got it. Closing in now." I respond.
"We got a visual." Riley notes, spotting the monster fleeing.
"Energise, unleash the power." We announce as we morph, with black, green and orange auras surrounding us. We take chase, blasting at the monster with our dino blasters.
"Out of the frying pan and into the firing zone!" The monster cries.
"He's getting away!"
"Take the shot Chase!" I encourage.
A finely placed shot knocks the monster down and allows the three of us to catch up with him. We flip over him and cut him off. "Ugh, someone needs a dental plan!" Chase mocks.
"I'm going to rot more than just your teeth!" the monster's teeth emit a purple glow and a matching blast of energy fired at us, but we dodge out of the way as it hits a tree, rotting the whole thing.
"The tree's decaying!"
"This guy's serious!"
"Don't let him escape! He'll rot the entire city!" Tyler yells as he races towards us.
"Vivix, attack!" The monster demands, they begin occupying Tyler.
"I'll beat you like eggs!"
