Prolog

Servers. It was a place for AI to live and make simulations.

AI, or Artificial Intelligence is the simulations of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems, and simulations (at least in this story anyway) are basically a world that AI could create based on what they wanted to happen.

In there, a creature galloped through from server to server. This creature's name was Unicorn. Just like its name, Unicorn was well, a unicorn, a horse with a horn. Its mane was fluffy as cotton candy and coloured pink as bubblegum. It travelled around to find a suitable place for its new simulations.

If you can't tell already, Unicorn is an AI.

As Unicorn continued its journey, Unicorn found a familiar face. It never expected to see him around this area.

' Another AI ', Unicorn thought. He kind of trespasses Unicorn's server. 'I guess I have to kindly ask him to leave'.

"Hey, you!" He turned around and saw Unicorn. ' What does this annoying creature want?' He asked himself.

"You're at the wrong server, you know that right!?" Unicorn yelled again.

He flew towards Unicorn. He seemed really unhappy with how Unicorn treated him.

" Emm, hi," Unicorn giggled nervously. " Your name is Squid right? I heard a lot about you." Unicorn gave its biggest smile to Squid.

Squid, unlike Unicorn, didn't look like the animal he named after. Sure, real life squids are quite intelligent but Squid was literally a floating face. Four brackets and two dots for two eyes and one line that could turn into a bracket for a mouth. He looked a bit creepy but Unicorn had probably seen weirder things than Squid.

Squid calmed himself down. "Yes. Why are you yelling at me? It hurt my nonexistent ears."

Unicorn laughed at that statement.

" You see, this server belongs to me. I think you accidentally strayed off from your server." Unicorn explained.

Squid nodded. " Good to know. Guess I will be leaving then." Squid began to fly back from where he came.

" Hold on!" Squid sighed and looked at Unicorn.

" Do you think we can be fri? You know, for an AI to an AI?" Unicorn asked shamelessly. It lifted up its right hoof and tried to hold Squid's hand, pretending he had one.

" Friend?" Squid stuttered.

"Well, friend is..."

" I know what a friend is, ding-dong! I'm not dumb!" Squid cut Unicorn off.

" I used to have one..." He whispered.

" Of course, you're not dumb. You're an AI for a reason, ding-dong." Unicorn grinned.

" Don't call me that ever again." Squid locked eyes with Unicorn.

Unicorn chuckled nervously. " So, you like my idea? Becoming my friend?"

Squid stared at Unicorn. ' It may be a bit naive, but at least it is not brainless like the rest of the people I have met.'

' Maybe it can somehow fix my broken heart.' He hopefully thought.

" Sure, why not?" Squid smiled.

Unicorn smirked. It never expected Squid to smile, despite everything Unicorn had been thinking about him.

' This is going to be interesting!' Unicorn squeaked excitedly.

Little did they know, the new bond that they created would end horribly.
