"I guess I owe all of you an explanation." Squid said after he put Mama Squid down at her bed. Dronelly was charging up because he wasted too much of his energy today.

Blocky immediately bumped Squid on his face over and over again, basically punching his face until the two of them fell to the ground. Squid didn't fight back like usual, he just accepted it. Blocky had turned into a feral animal.

"Emm... I don't think you guys want to see this." Bartender covered Joe's eyes in order for him not to witness it. Helpy stayed behind Bartender while Mr. Dance just weakly stood back.

A couple minutes later, Bartender thought Blocky was just too much. "Okay, Blocky! That's enough!" He put Joe down gently and grabbed Blocky away from Squid. Squid floated up, but he didn't seem angry or anything. He just... Stared.

"I'm sorry, Squid. All of them are tired and exhausted of running away from your Dronelly. Blocky had been emotionally distressed by Mama Squid's situation, so please excuse us." Bartender pulled Blocky behind him, so Blocky wouldn't bump Squid again. Blocky breathed heavily right next to Bartender, gradually losing his patience.

"I know." Squid quietly said. He tried to make a poker face, so people wouldn't know how he genuinely felt. Bartender's right, he was exhausted, mentally. Dronelly's programming was complex enough for him to handle.

"I think it's for the best if you explain to us during the meeting. I bet Mama Squid wanted to know too." Bartender tried to bargain with Squid, especially since the rest of them were mad at Squid. Blocky would strike down Squid if he could.

"Yeah, I bet she doesn't want to see your face either." Blocky purposely said it to rub salt in Squid's wounds. Squid hated failures, so this was the only time Blocky could use this chance to make Squid guilty for his actions.

"Sure." Squid bowed down to Bartender and left them on their own. He was off to somewhere they wouldn't see his face.

Everyone surrounded Mama Squid's unconscious body. Her face was still pale like the moment they got her out. Mr. Dance couldn't stand looking at it, excused himself and left. Bringing back some old memories he hated to touch. Joe and Helpy were uneasy to stay around for too long and went to the game room to rest. Now, it was just Blocky and Bartender. B & B.

"Hey, I think you should take a nap." Bartender smiled at Blocky. "You must be stressed after everything. Those cracks of yours will take forever to regenerate if you leave it that way."

"No. I need to be here. I need to know if she remembers me." Blocky sounded fearful. He was tearing up from the inside. Mama Squid was his first friend and he wanted it to stay that way.

"It's alright. I will take care of her for you. Besides, your consciousness is heating up." Bartender touched Blocky's side. Blocky had a fever, he must be shocked by the whole thing.

Blocky then nodded in agreement. He was defeated by his own thoughts and mind, causing him to react outside the box. He couldn't lose one of the people who stood by his back, at least used to. He finally decided to go away to the drones' room.

Bartender was on his own with Mama Squid. He just held one of her tentacles, it still had cracks on them. There were many cracks actually. The machine must break a part of her consciousness. He just hoped it wasn't as bad as his eye, which was unfixable... For some reason.
