"The game is as simple as that. Just play along, then we will have fun!" Joe said after explaining the game, The Murder Mystery. Everyone nodded in understanding. They have already had a role because they pick a paper through a box that Joe and Helpy provided.

Squid stared uncertainty at Joe. Joe smiled to reassure Squid. They didn't need to speak their thoughts out. Just pretended that nothing ever happened beforehand, and it would be fine.

"Alright." Joe jumped on top of the core. He pushed down a button to activate the code he planted in. "May the game begin now!"

Everyone stared. They acted like it was just another normal day. Bartender served the drinks to everyone. They talked and had a good time for a while.

20 minutes later, the core of the game room forced them to sit down on their assigned chairs, 5 feet apart from each other. The lights turned off, and now the game truly began. The murderer went out of his way to kill his victim and the doctor protected the innocent.

It took a couple of boring minutes for them to finish their thing. The light finally turned on, yet no one was missing.

"Huh, someone should have been dead, but I guess everyone got lucky last night." Mr. Dance spoke his thoughts out loud. He crossed his legs together.

"That's very suspicious of you, Dance. Do you want anyone to die?" Mama Squid began her interrogation. She pointed at Mr. Dance, his attitude was out of the ordinary.

"I mean, people can start voting now. Right, Squid?" Joe looked at Squid again. He wanted him to feel included, especially since he was rarely in the games.

Squid gave an awkward smile. How was he supposed to react? It was Joe's game, not his. "I suppose so?"

"I feel like there isn't enough evidence yet. So, how about we skip the vote for a day?" Blocky gave a suggestion. It was only the first night anyway, there was no need to rush it.

Bartender just kept quiet. He drank one of his bottles as he watched everything go down in front of him.

Helpy jumped next to Joe, and showed him something. A footstep. But it was just one.

"Ahah! A clue!" Joe said excitedly. These would actually help them progress further.

As Squid was about to scan it, the core stopped him from working. He groaned a little because his abilities wouldn't work. The Core made sure he didn't cheat.

"No, Squid. It's just a children's game. Don't take it too seriously." Mr. Dance patted Squid's back.

"The Core gave out a clue of who could it possibly be." Bartender found it hard to distinguish the footstep. It was just weird.

After discussing it, they couldn't find a conclusion. The Core forced them to sit once more for another night.

Everyone neither could hear nor see. Even the people who had night vision. The murderer and the doctor could choose a name to kill or to protect. Maybe the last victim was protected by the doctor. The rest of them were normal citizens. There was also a jester.

The light turned on. The factory members looked around and noticed someone was missing. Bartender, the least hated person was just nowhere to be seen.
