The Brief Encounter

The female figure which I couldn't work out who she turned her head around and walked towards me.

I was waiting for her to attack but it didn't happen. It's like if she wanted to tell me something...

Female Figure:
Jake...? Is that you my love? Why do you look different?

She was examining my face and I couldn't help noticing of how cold her hands were.

Ben:
Is that what his name was? His name was Jake? Was he the love of your life?

Female Figure:
Your not, Jake....?

Ben: (feeling guilty)
No...

Female Figure: (Angrily)
Leave me! I must find Jake!

When I told her I'm not Jake she left with rage leaving me alone in the empty dining room.

I sat on the dusty chair noticing an old acoustic guitar which made me think back to college.

Meanwhile...

The female figure was exploring while singing in hoping to catch Jake's attention.

She heard sound of acoustic guitar and walked back to the dining room.

Ben: (singing Johnny Cash)

I turned my head up and noticed that she watched me singing one of my favorite Johnny Cash song.

Female Figure:
I never heard anything like this bef

Ben:
I been learning that song since my girlfriend and I split up...

She gave me a guilt when I responded to her remark on that Johnny Cash song.

Female Figure:
I'm sorry how I have spoken to you...

Ben:
It's okay... I deserved it.

Female Figure:
Non Monsieur, I should have known better.

Then she revealed her face and I knew who it was straight away.

Melanie:
My names Melanie Ravenswood.

Ben:
My names Ben Adams.
