《 My Kitty 》Xiao x Reader

You were sat upon Xiao's lap, his chin resting on top of your head while his arms were wrapped around your waist as he continued to stare down the blonde traveller. Verr Goldet was looking at the two of you with a knowing smirk on her face when she passed by while Aether and Paimon were simply trying not to get on his bad side.

You didn't know how you ended up in this position. You were having a nice chat with Aether about his recent journey with Zhongli when you suddenly tripped on a staircase at Wangshuu Inn. Aether having to save you by grabbing your hand and pulling you close to him so you could regain your balance.

That's when you both saw a wisp of blue and green appear in front of you before a pair of arms wrapped themselves around your waist. You were suddenly pulled towards the figure as you felt your back pressed against a toned chest. The warmth and the familiar feeling immediately letting you know that the person who was holding you was your one of a kind adeptus.

"Uhh.. Xiao, can you let go of (Y/N)? We understand you saving her but you don't have to hog her all to yourself!" Paimon exclaimed, deciding to break the silence for she was having enough of the adeptus' antics.

"I am not hogging her. I'm making sure she doesn't get harmed or injured." Xiao replied, letting out a small huff as he glared at Paimon while pulling you closer to his chest.

"You are literally holding her and being clingy! We just wanted to talk to her and catch up with how things are going! Learn to share (Y/N)!" Paimom retaliated, stomping her foot in the air as she looked at the adeptus with a disapproving look.

"Calm down, Paimon. Xiao just didn't want (Y/N) to get hurt. We all want to make sure that the person we care for the most doesn't get hurt or injured so let them be." Aether reasoned the floating child as he glanced at your direction and gave you a warm smile.

You gave the blonde a smile in return, feeling Xiao move and decided to rest his head on your shoulder. You didn't noticed Xiao giving Aether a murderous look, making said blonde flinched.

You could feel the annoyance Xiao is radiating as you placed your hand on his head and started to brush your fingers against his teal locks, making the adeptus calm down and nuzzle into your hand.

"You know.. Xiao is kinda like a cat." Paimon stated, making Aether quickly cover his mouth to suppress his own laughter when he suddenly felt a harsh glare being directed towards him and his emergency food.

"What do you mean?" Xiao asked, focusing his glare on Paimon as his grip on you tightened, careful not to hurt you. You let out a small giggle as you placed your other hand on top of Xiao's before rubbing small circles on it as comfort.

"How is Xiao a cat, Paimon?" you asked, curious on what the floating fairy would say as you continued to run your fingers against the adeptus' hair to calm him down.

"Let's see.. whenever you're mostly with Aether or another guy, Xiao would always be near. Paimon literally saw him hiding behind a tree earlier as he stared at the fruit vendor you were talking to like he was going to kill him in his sleep! And he's even clinging onto you! He either has his hand holding yours or he's hugging you! It's like he's attached to your hip or something! Definitely a cat. A grumpy one too!" Paimon explained, Aether nodding in agreement while you felt your face becoming a bit warm.

"I'm not what you are saying. I'm only watching over (Y/N)." Xiao stated, a shade of red appearing across his cheeks as he hid his face in your shoulder.

"Liar! Paimon can see how possessive you are when it comes to (Y/N)! We had a hard time trying to call you when we were helping Xiangling with her cooking but when (Y/N) called out your name, you instantly appeared. If you have a tail, Paimon bets that it would always be swaying in happiness when you're with (Y/N)." Paimon complained, making Xiao a bit more embarrassed as he buried his face into your neck instead.

After a few laughs and chatting more with Aether and Paimon, you decided to call it a night when you saw the sky outside already became dark. Bidding your goodbyes to the two, you then turned to face Xiao with a smile plastered on your face.

"Let's go back to our room." Xiao stated as he grabbed your hand before teleporting the both of you in your shared room at the inn. Xiao sat on the edge of the bed as he slowly pulled you closer by the waist.

"You know.. I think Paimon could be right." you exclaimed, placing your hands on Xiao's cheeks before gently caressing them.

Xiao let out a small hum, urging you to continue as he nuzzled into your hands. You watched as his eyes stared into your (E/C) ones, his gaze full of love and warmth.

"You could really be a cat, Xiao. What if one day, you suddenly started to purr?" you asked, letting out a giggle when the male rolled his eyes before pulling you into the bed with him.

"Not gonna happen." Xiao replied, grumpily letting out a small huff as he laid you down beside him before gently laying his head against your chest. He let out a small sigh when he hears the sound of your heart beating, each beat making him relax.
"But cats are grumpy too. What if you turned into a cat? I'm definitely going to name you Mr. Grumpy Pants if you become a cat." you said with a grin, letting out a small yelp when Xiao flicked your forehead in reply.

"Shut up." Xiao stated as you rubbed your forehead with a small pout.

Xiao stared at you before rolling his eyes and leaning closed towards you. You felt your face flushed red when you felt Xiao giving your forehead a small peck as he looked at your face, his cheeks turning pink.

"I'm only your cat, got it?" Xiao asked as you nodded in reply before letting out a squeal when he pulled you closer towards him and wrapped his arms around your waist.

"Are you my grumpy and possessive kitty?" you quietly asked, wrapping your arms around the adeptus' torso as you glanced at him. Xiao let out a small groan and was about to retaliate until he saw you giving him the puppy eyes.

You both knew he can't say no to you when you use that technique of yours.

Letting out a small sigh, Xiao nodded his head as his answer. You continued to give him the puppy eyes as you poked his cheek. "Come on.. I want you to say it." you exclaimed.

Your grin widened when you saw his face turning into a deeper shade of red. You love to tease Xiao a lot, the consequences are also worth it. Even though you wouldn't be able to walk for a few days, it was still worth it.

"I'm.. your grumpy.. and possessive kitty.." Xiao mumbled out as he looked at you with furrowed brows, his face flushed into a shade of red. You let out a smile and leaned closer, placing a kiss on the adeptus' nose.

"You missed." Xiao stated, you lightly rolled your eyes as you gave him a light kiss on his lips.

Xiao held your chin between his fingers as he gently lifted it up before staring at your eyes, his amber-brown eyes scanning your face before leaning in closer and pressing his lips against yours. You kissed back, slowly closing your eyes as you enjoyed the loving moment you're sharing with your adeptus. Pulling away from the kiss, Xiao once again looked at your eyes.

"I.. love you." Xiao stated, a ghost of a smile appearing on his face as he showered your face with light kisses. You let out a small fit of laughter when Xiao's hair gently brushed against your skin and tickling you.

"I love you too, my kitty cat." you replied with a smile as Xiao gave you another kiss on the lips.
