There was a mild drizzle by the time they entered the residence.

Mingyu was gasping for air as he started running again through the halls looking for the kitchen.

Wonwoo was gasping for air, following Mingyu around the residence.

The kitchen was not as big as the royal kitchen but it was huge enough. The room was filled with various ingredients and pots of different sizes.

Mingyu grabbed a few firewood lying on the right side of the door and lighted the stove. Wonwoo followed him inside and took a seat near the mud stove.

"My Lord...it will be the best soup you have ever tasted in your life. I bet your eunuch could never make something like this." Mingyu proudly poured water into the pot as he began to chop the vegetables. He was proud of his cooking.

"Did my eunuch make food for me?" Wonwoo questioned. He figured it was a royal cook who made food for all.

"Why are you asking me that?"

"Because I don't remember." Wonwoo stated the obvious white lie.
"Where is this eunuch right now? He should be here right?"

Mingyu internally panicked as he struggled to give a straight answer.

"He was the one who poisoned me right?"

"Yes. H..ow did you know?" Mingyu was baffled, his mind went blank.

"An eunuch should stay by my side in times like these. It's not that hard to make a guess."

"Yeah...right. Are you disappointed my Lord?" Mingyu gulped.

"I don't remember anything to feel hurt or disappointed. And I guess I will never remember anything of my past as the third prince. All I can do is move on with the present. "
Wonwoo genuinely felt bad for the third prince, but it was true that he can never know of the past of the prince, he can only live on as Wonwoo the idol who ended up in a different world.

"You seem like a very different person than those rumors. " Mingyu chuckled.

Wonwoo nodded, he sure was a different person.

Mingyu rushed outside the room to ask a guard to bring the noodles he left in the barracks. Wonwoo decided to chop up the vegetables that Mingyu left behind. Wonwoo was not much of a cook, only thing he could cook was ramen.
He grabbed the knife, it was not much different from the modern knife, it just had a heavy iron handle instead of a plastic grip.

Mingyu returned to the kitchen and he found the prince struggling to cut the vegetables in equal size, some pieces were too small, some too big.

"My Lord.. please let me prepare it. A prince should never do something like this." He chuckled.

Wonwoo was taken aback with the sudden voice near his right ear. He was about to hit Mingyu with the knife but Mingyu's reflexes were fast.

"It's you!.. yeah I will let you do it." Wonwoo sighed and went back to his seat leaving the work for the self proclaimed cook.

Wonwoo glanced towards Mingyu, he was busy grinding spices with a rock. Mingyu's rolled his sleeves which uncovered a burnt mark on his right forearm.

"What's that mark?"

"Oh..that my fa.."

"May I enter my Lords." A voice interrupted Mingyu. It was tall man hovering around the door.

Mingyu rushed to the door and brought in a basket filled with noodles and meat. The tall man went away bowing to Mingyu. Wonwoo couldn't see the face of the man but he noticed a deep scar on the neck of the man as he left.
