3rd pov
Naruto drove nervously, knowing Sasuke was in a sour mood from yesterday.
"Can you just wait in the car please?" Naruto spoke.
"Why? Scared that I'm going to kill him?" Sasuke snickered.
"Yeah...but if he sees you with me outside of work...he'll fire me." Naruto got serious. Sasuke stopped and looked at Naruto.
"Right...I'm sorry...but if he tries anything, run out and tell me...I'll deal with him myself!" Sasuke stated as they parked into the parking lot but the building.
"Alright." Naruto laughed as he shut the vehicle down and got out.
"I'll be back." Naruto smiled as he shut the vehicle door.
Inside
Naruto opened his office doors as he grabbed a few things. Sai then walked in and sighed.
"You know...You can just quit..." Sai spoke while Naruto flinched.
"Tell me Naruto...was it You that wanted this job? Or was it your young love for Gaara that you wanted?" Sai frowned. Naruto slowly looked at Sai and furrowed his brow.
"...I'll ne on my way..." Naruto then grabbed all of his things and left his office. Suddenly, Naruto felt a pair of arms grab a hold of him.
"Are you actually going to sign papers for leave...without me signing them?" Gaara hugged Naruto tightly. Naruto blushed as he tried to get out of his grasp.
"Let me go please.." Naruto politely asked.
"Why are you running away from me? Wasn't I the one who gave you this job?" Gaara smirked as he kissed Naruto by the ear. He then reached out for Naruto's hand as he was then rejected by another.
"Sasuke!" Naruto blushed as Sasuke smacked Gaara's hand away from Naruto. Gaara was shocked to see the young man pull away Naruto away from him.
"Lay off! Let's go!" Sasuke led Naruto to the exit.
"I see...You went after older men...now you changed to liking younger men?" Gaara spoke out. Naruto stopped as he looked at the man.
"...Remember why you wanted this job so badly...Naruto-kun. I have to go and sign your papers now...I'll see you soon." Gaara walked into his office as Sasuke and Naruto ran out.
"Fuck that prick! Who does he think he is!" Sasuke laughed as he sat in the vehicle.
"Sasuke...that's my boss! You don't realize what you've done! This could affect my reputation!" Naruto panicked.
"So what? You're still so young, go back to university, or even get a new job." Sasuke sighed as he buckled up himself. Naruto frowned as he started the vehicle up and left the building.
Not long after, Sasuke started to notice that Naruto was driving in the wrong direction of the apartment.
"Hey, you missed the turn off." Sasuke pointed.
"I'm not taking you there, I'm bringing you home." Naruto frowned.
"Your house!" Sasuke smirked as he touched Naruto's hand. Naruto then smacked it away.
"No, back to Kakashi's place."
"What?!" Sasuke jumped as he realized where he was.
"Naruto pull over!" Sasuke started to panick.
"No! You need to realize what you do affects others! What you pulled today was crossing a line I knew you'd cross! You may legally be an adult...But You're not old enough to think like one!" Naruto ranted as he didn't notice he was driving faster. Sasuke's heart started to beat faster and faster.
"P-please....slow down." Sasuke started to shake.
"Oh I'm sorry, I thought you liked living like nobody exists but yourself!"
"NARUTO STOP!"
Naruto then looked to see a vehicle in front of them. He slammed on the break hard, causing the car to skid. Everything then stopped for Sasuke, as he become uncertain whether he fainted or not...
Time skip
Sasuke woke up to see himself in his apartment. He then looked over to see Naruto sitting at the each of the bed either his head down. Sasuke slolwy got up and looked around.
"What happened?" Sasuke asked.
"After I hit the brakes, you fainted...we almost got into a car accident...because of my reckless behavior..." Naruto mumbled as he stared at the floor.
"You know...what I said back there is the truth through and through...but I'm the one who acted like a child in the end...I'm sorry." Naruto apologized. Sasuke then remembered what happened as he crawled over to Naruto and hugged him from behind.
"I'm sorry too...I shouldn't have went just to your workplace and caused a big scene." Sasuke kissed Naruto on the cheek.
"...No...it was the right thing to do...Sasuke, I quitted." Naruto softly held onto Sasuke's hands.
"What! Really?" Sasuke asked.
"Yeah...I thought I wanted to help people...but really when I do...it makes me feel more sad. I only went after that type of work....to be closer to him." Naruto teared up.
Flashback
"Therapist?" Naruto asked.
"Yes, if you truly love helping others, then this is a career for you." Gaara explained.
"Woah, Gaara-san is so cool!" Naruto blushed.
"...same as Naruto-kun!" Gaara smiled, making Naruto blush.
"If I were to go into this career, would you hire me?" Naruto asked.
"...in a heartbeat." Gaara answered.
End of flashback
"You were in love with him?" Sasuke asked.
"No...I was blinded by obsession of him. I wanted him to look at me and only me. He would always treat me like I mattered. So I worked extra hard to graduate highschool at a very young age. Since I grew up with no parents...I was craved for his attention. The night I graduated university, we had sex. It felt amazing at first...until I actually worked with him. He would want to do it at work...and all kinds of risky things. Overtime, he just stopped paying attention to me. He treated me as another one of his workers. When I would go over to his house, all we did was sex...it felt empty and lonely. Not long after, I stopped going to his house...and become just another worker...in a field that I never wanted to do." Naruto's voice cracked as he started crying. Sasuke pulled him in closer as he kissed Naruto.
"You were still a kid Naruto....and you did what any other kid would've done. Once you have something you want...you don't want to let go of it until it wears out and becomes old." Sasuke sighed as he tried to turn Naruto around. Naruto wiped his tears and turned over to look at Sasuke. Sasuke smiled softly as he kissed Naruto.
"Tell me...what did you really want to become?"
