falling in love with your bestfriend of many years is normal, right?
this is about beth mead and vivianne miedema falling for one another while going through tough times of their own.
After the Euros, I decided to book Viv and I a trip to Greece. I for one wanted a break but i knew that i couldn't be at ease on a break if Viv wasn't by my side so she said she wanted in on the holiday. We are going for 2 full weeks so we have some chance to wind down and just spend time with one another.
Viv: Have you got your passport now? Beth: I have it right here! Viv: Show me please.
I raised my passport and gave Viv some sass to go with it. She smiled and we shared a kiss before heading out to the airport. We both decided it would be best if we got a taxi it would be so much easier to go there.
Viv's POV
We arrived at the airport and Beth seemed a little more nervous than usual. She's usually fine in airports and planes. We checked in and then made our way to the VIP lounge so we could chill before the flight.
"After you my lady" i said as i held the door for Beth.
"Thank you lover" Beth replied as she walked through the door.
We sat down on the sofa and Beth was distant. I didn't want to confront her about it because I knew she's going through a lot right now having just won the EUROS and everything with her family. It got announced that the plane was leaving in 15 minutes so the staff came to get us as we need security to go through without any complications. Luckily for us, we've got a private plane that's taking us to Greece.
We sat opposite each other on the plane at first but I could tell that Beth felt even more uneasy so I told her to sit closer in which she did.
"Whats wrong" I asked.
"Just thinking about my mother that's all" she responded.
I reached for her hand and placed it in mine. She moved closer and I could tell she needed to be held in this moment so that's what I did. Beth's love language is quality time and touch so I try and that to provide that to her when she wants but also when she needs it. She's currently not in the mood to talk so by me holding her close, that means a lot to her.
time skip to Greece
Beth's POV
We finally arrived at Greece and I can tell Viv knows that there's more than just my mother on my mind, and she's not wrong. There's so much to think about right now and Jordan Nobbs is currently on my mind. She's going to be leaving in January and I'm the only person who knows and it kills me.
Viv and I dropped our bags off in our room and then made our way to dinner. I decided I would just think of Viv and us this holiday so I can give my full self to her because she deserves it. We walked holding hands to dinner and this felt very complete just having this time with Viv, alone.
After food we decided to head back to the room to unwind and just watch some Netflix. I was in a little pain with my legs so Viv insisted on giving me a piggy back for the rest of the way to the room and I just agreed with her. It was only a 5 minute walk so she was lucky in that case that she didn't need to hold me for too long.
Viv's POV
Beth and I arrived back at the hotel and I carried her into the room. I made sure she had a shower and as I was getting our matching pj's ready on the bed, I heard a slight scream coming from the bathroom. I rushed into the room, slamming the door open thinking Beth was in some sort of trouble.
"What's wrong Beth"
"I just come on my period Viv"
"Right let me take over from here. Go and put this dressing gown on and lay in bed"
"Viv no, you need to rest too. I don't want to be babied right now"
"Beth please. I want to look after you. Let me take care of you"
"Okay fine"
As Beth made her way into the bedroom, I closed the door but not before I grabbed the 'emergency' bag. This bag contained the essentials if either Beth or I came on our period during this holiday. I ran the bath fir her, lit a few candles and the scene was set. Beth opened the door, gave me a passionate kiss and I left her to bath alone while I went to the shop to buy a few bits for her. When I arrived at the shop there was plenty of choice in what to get her. I got her some chocolate, her favourite sweets and some flowers just to make her smile because she struggles a lot during her time of month. I quickly made my way back before she realises I've left.
I came back and heard tears coming from the bathroom and I could tell it was real this time. Beth wasn't faking it. I placed the items on the bed and called out for Beth and she answered pretty quickly. I rushed to her side and helped her out of the bath because she was on that much pain.
"what can I do to help?" I asked.
"Just hold me. I just need you to hold me" she replied.
"i'll hold you for as long as you need it"
We spent the rest of the night in eachothers arms, watching Ginny and Georgia. Beth are her snacks and just about let me steal a couple. We both decided to post on socials to "show eachother off" as Beth likes to call it.
