Sick

»»- 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚. The ivory haired male frowned, feeling how warm your forehead was. How you got sick? He had no idea. When he woke up, you were shivering, hot and sweaty, kicking away the blanket ━━ well at least trying to, and feeling very nauseous and weak.

When he asked what was wrong, you only let out a long and frustrated sigh before rolling over on your side.

He asked Izana and Kakucho to go get some medicine, and the brothers to try to make some snacks in hopes that they would make you feel better. He would've asked Sanzu for some medicine ━━ but honestly he didn't trust him enough to give you the right pill.

He softly groaned in frustration as he rubbed your back, wondering what the hell was take Izana and Kaku so long.

"Are you fucking serious?" Kaku asked, seeing all the unnecessary shit Izana had put in the basket. "She needs it."

"She's sick not dying, dumbass." He rolled his eyes taking most (all) of the things the latter picked out. "the fuck is this?" he asked, picking up a bunch of bananas.

"I don't know what kids like." The ivory haired male defended. The latter facepalm with a deep sigh, dragging him through all the isle to the the appropriate items.

"Where the fuck have you been? That midget is throwing a tantrum, I don't have time to deal with this I have money to count and presents to buy!" Koko whisper-yelled angrily. The two only stared at him before rolling their eyes, walking past him towards your room.

Walking in, they saw you putting tour father's hair into pigtails and clapping happily with a blank expression as he fixed your dress.

"What did you buy?" He asked, not looking up. "Medicine, a giant teddy bear, cupcakes, dorayki, taiyaki, and heating pads." You attention immediately went to the taiyaki, taking the box from your uncle and opening it.

"Take your medicine first." Your father instructed. You looked at him, mumbling a quick no before shoving one the pastries in your mouth.

As you continued to munch on the taiyaki, Eveng brushed a strand of hair away from your face, concern etched in his expression. "Come on, sweetheart, you need to take your medicine," he coaxed gently, holding out a glass of water and the pills. You pouted but begrudgingly took them, washing them down with a sip of water.

Kakucho set the giant teddy bear beside you, and Izana placed the heating pads strategically around your bed. "Feeling any better?" Izana asked, a hint of worry in his voice as he watched you.

You nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips as you snuggled against the teddy bear. "No," you murmured, your eyelids drooping from the combined effects of the medicine and the warmth enveloping you.

Eveng leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. "Get some rest, okay? We'll be right here if you need anything," he whispered softly, his hand lingering on yours before he straightened up, exchanging a knowing look with Izana and Kakucho.

As you drifted off to sleep, surrounded by the comforting presence of your family, you couldn't help but feel grateful for their love and care, even in your sickest moments. With a content sigh, you let yourself succumb to the healing embrace of slumber.

Manjiro sighed with relief as he watched you finally drift off into a peaceful slumber. The tension in his shoulders eased slightly as he saw the lines of pain and discomfort fade from your face, replaced by the serene expression of someone lost in dreams.

Carefully, he slipped into the bed beside you, making sure not to disturb your rest. Leaning in, he pressed a tender kiss to your cheek, his lips lingering for a moment as he whispered softly, "Sleep well, my love."

As he settled in beside you, Manjiro couldn't help but reflect on the rollercoaster of emotions that came with taking care of someone you cherished. The worry, the frustration, the overwhelming desire to make everything okay ─ it was all worth it, just to see you peaceful and comfortable at last.

With a contented sigh, he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close in a protective embrace. In this moment, surrounded by the warmth of your presence, Manjiro knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, as long as you were by his side, he could face anything that came your way. Closing his eyes, he let himself drift off to sleep, his heart filled with love and gratitude for the precious gift of your presence in his life.
