The miraculous stay out of evil's clutches so the identities of the heroes stay hidden and Paris stays in shape, because Ladybug thinks smart. She and Cat Noir only bring out one miraculous at a time, bringing one friend and hero into action, unless a number of pairs of hands is required. All the while, the duo couldn't help but to admire how they all get along with their Kwamis like they do, being the key to strength. Right after Viperion helps the duo vanquish Desperada using the Ouroboros Bracelet of the Snake that grants the power of Intuition, Ryuko's identity stays hidden as she helps the duo fight Ikari Gozen using the Chocker of the Dragon that grants the power of Perfection. What their opponent never expected was to be confronted by strong winds, sharp rain and bolts of lightning after Ryuko turned herself into a storm cloud. In the end, before Kagami returns her miraculous, Ladybug let's her know she doesn't have to be the best. She just has to do her best. No one's perfect and she doesn't always have to win to show her worth. Losing doesn't mean she's terrible. It's a way of learning from past events and trying something new. Cat Noir and Longg agree, and Longg shows she did very well back there for her first try.

Soon, Sabrina was next in line. After Sabrina gets into an argument with her father about her friendship with Chloe, Rogercop returns accompanied by sentimonster Rogerdog, a monstrous German Shepherd with an incredible sense of smell and hearing. Cat Noir says Rogerdog might go for him more then Ladybug for reasons. Chloe herself ends up in danger after getting kidnapped by the dog and Sabrina felt like she was the cause of this incident and wants to fix it. Seeing she really wants to, Ladybug thinks they might need her help. So Cat Noir takes a turn at grabbing one of the miraculous, and Ladybug requests which one. She gives Sabrina Collar Necklace of the Dog that grant the power of Adoration, which she uses to become Houndette and save both the people she loves. She tries talking to her father, but his emotion prevents her from reaching him. The plan went as follows. Cat Noir will rescue Chloe, Houndette will distract Rogerdog and Ladybug will go for the akuma. With that, Houndette finds herself in a dog fight. However, it doesn't go as planned once Chloe is knocked overboard from the police car, so Houndette has no choice but to sacrifice something which is just as important as Chloe to catch her using Fetch. That means she only has minutes before changing back. Rogerdog sniffs them out and chases them as Chloe tells her go faster. So Ladybug and Cat Noir are left to fight the akuma.

They escape Rogerdog and hide in the Grand Paris Hotel where they lock themselves in the kitchen to keep the beast from reaching them. As Sabrina hides in the freezer to hide her identity and searches for food for Barkk, Chloe had time to talk about Sabrina and how she was the cause for most of the akuma attacks when they were fresh. She confesses to Houndette she originally just thought she needed a sidekick but over time began to care about Sabrina. She says life isn't the same without her and it's like she has a sister. So her redemption arc this far was really paying off. In truth, she feels bad she got Sabrina akumatized twice, as well as all the other people in her class. Finally finding Barkk something and once again transforming, this leaves Houndette touched as her tail wags. To protect her identity, she just says she's really happy Chloe thinks that about Sabrina and her past mistakes. Chloe thinks she should reward Sabrina for all her hard work, and Houndette suggest she and Sabrina tell her father things are fine between them both. They are interrupted by some banging. The oversized mutt has found them.

Houndette shields Chloe, and the duo come to the rescue. Ladybug uses her lucky charm, which was a sack of stench. Houndette works out to distract Rogerdog they have to cover up its sense of smell and hearing, and Ladybug's sight proves it. So they lead Rogerdog to the TV station, where they fill the vents with the scent and Cat Noir uses his cataclysm to mess with the microphones. This fills the air with a bad smell and a loud ringing noise, which gives Houndette the chance to ultimately win the dog fight. Rogercop tries to interfere, but is also affected by the noise and smell. Houndette does the honors of breaking the objects inhabited by the akuma and amok.

Back in the lair, Hawk Moth asks Mayura how many heroes that makes. She answers it makes 8, if they count the cat and bug. She tells Hawk Moth they will have think smart. They may never know when these new heroes arise and what powers they might have. All Hawk Moth knows is that was no bother to his dear Mayura, acting as if it was all a breeze. All they have to do is think of any kind of akuma and amok they want. And one day, their creations may make them proud. Changing back, Gabriel tries to force Nooroo into telling him how many more miraculous there are, but all he says that's something for him to find out thus standing up to him for once. Natalie lets Gabriel know she feels like he pays more attention to his minions rather than his own son. He says that was nonsense. He gives Adrien and his akumas the right amount of attention each, which Natalie, Nooroo and Duusu doubt.

The duo could see Houndette was happy because of her wagging tail and she tells them what Chloe said. The heroes were surprised and touched Chloe really does care, in her own way at least, now that she's developing a little. Sabrina returns the dog and embraces Chloe hoping for forgiveness, still thinking this is her fault. Sabrina reveals the reason why she looks up to Chloe was because she was the first true friend she ever had. So it seemed Roger had nothing to worry about once the girls assure him there's no more poor treatment.

At Adrien's party, the heroes collect Circlet of the Monkey that grant the power of Derision for Kim for a helping hand. He and Xuppu got along right away and King Monkey showed Party Crasher who the real party animal is. Markov even got to know Kaalki a little when Max became Pegasus using the Glasses of the Horse that grant the power of Migration, because he was present for his transformation and swears to keep the secret as if he were a Kwami himself.
