Chapter 4 - My Girl

Clarke's POV

This was all I ever wanted. Bellamy. "I love you" he whispers into my left ear. No words leave my mouth but I grip him harder, telling him the same.

We are broken up when Octavia storms in. "Quick, something's not right." She runs out of the drop ship as quickly as she entered. Bellamy goes to leave but I stop him with my hand. "You're not ready yet. You only hit your head a few hours ago. Stay." I demand. I guess he must have obeyed, he's not following me when I leave the drop ship.

"There's movement Clarke!" Atom shouts from his position. "Over in the trees. Five, six ... there's too many too count. What do we do?"

At that moment I realize I'm in charge of all 93 of us who are left. If I make one wrong decision it's all over. For all of us. I fumble, not sure of what to say. "Clarke. What do we do?"

"Hold your fire!" A loud, stern voice shouts from behind me. I can here there footsteps behind me as they edge closer. "Hey Princess. Guess I am ready. I got it from here."

Bellamy. The prick that couldn't let me finish the job.

Bellamy's POV

"Sorry" I quickly mouth back to Clarke. I'm not sure if she seen and she quickly stormed off.

"Asses the danger Atom. If they attack, we attack." He gives me a slight nod to show that he understands.

I quickly walk over to the back of camp where Clarke went off to. "Clarke. What the hell was that? You just stood there, frozen."

"I don't know. I just stopped. Scared that all 93 lives where in my hands. I'm sorry."  Right there, right then she reminded me of the scared little girl she was when she got told of by the principle. I walked over and cradled her like she was that girl so many years ago. I wanted to hold her forever.

She pulled away before I expected. She stood up straight, wiped the tears away from her face and walked towards the gates. I watched her carefully as she went and sat with Atom and the other guards. I could clearly tell by their expressions that she was telling them what to do. That's my girl. A proper leader.

Short update guys but I probably won't be able to post a chapter this weekend.
