Connor brings Mouse through the streets of Akiba. As Connor recounted his steps to reach the arcade he was familiar to, Mouse took in more of the sights. The bustling city was littered with multi-floor buildings dedicated to japanese products as well as smaller cosplay stores.
She even spots Rent-a-Girlfriend pop-up stands decorating a mall entrance.
"That? They've had that there for a while." Connor says matter-of-factly.
"Are you serious?? Did they not get the memo on how trash that show is?" Mouse complained.
"I doubt they did." He says as they keep walking.
"..If you had to choose. Which girl would you say is your favourite?"
Connor deliberates which answer would get him least in trouble.
"None. You already know. If there's no milfs, I'm not there."
"Oh right. Cause you're somehow under the impression that milfs would want you."
"What the fuck dude"
"Nevermind milfs, no girl would want you." Mouse mocks him, making him laugh.
"BRO thats fucked up."
"Why are you so mean to me, Mouse?"
"What did I ever do to you huh?" He retorts, staring down at her short stature.
"Everything."
"Horrible. If only your chat could see how mean you actually are." Connor pretends to feel dejected. "Nevermind, they'd still be on your side."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing. Anyway, we're here."
And sure enough, to the side of them was a huge Sega arcade on a cornerside with an entrance of stairs going down and into the purple mood-lit building.
"WAIT this place looks so cool!!" She fangirls.
"Didn't that other sega arcade close down?"
"Oh yeah, but they managed to reopen due to an influx of tourists. This is usually the number one tourist spot when people come to Akiba."
Entering the arcade, they immerse themselves in the mood lighting and various noises of fighting games, rythm games and dance machines.
It's all quite loud. The two have to raise their voices in order to hear each other.
"Well, I said tourists but it's mostly locals who are too cracked at certain games that come here. " Connor says motioning to a person going absolutely ham on one rythm game.
"oooOOOo. WAIT can we play this game?"
