The streets glew bright as the beaming sun shines upon them. It was a bright summer day and I could feel the heat slowly burning away at my feet.

A light breeze blew through the strands of my hair, relieving me of this heat ever so slightly.

Looking infront I noticed the many billboards and people filling the city. So very noisy. I've always wondered if people noticed it...how boring this is.

How boring waking up each day is, having a specific task to do and have a certain routine to follow. It's as if life itself is boring and we're ignoring that.

I speak these words, and I know I'm no different. I wake up everyday, go to my same boring day job, college and so on. But during my 22 years of living, never had I actually found life interesting. Every exciting moment always ended, every happy memory ends the instinct it happens. So in the end, life's just boring and we're forced to live it.

I tried crossed the street nearing the convenient store I work at, when a purple hat appeared from behind me. In a second I felt myself being pulled back. "Excuse me, but could you tell me where I am exactly?"

I turned around, and my eyes met a man dressed in as wizard. Surprised by this...odd man I quickly took my hand from his grip. "You're in *insert city* " With that I started crossing the street. Leaving the unusual individual behind.

Entering the convenient store I signed in and made my way to my manager, who was helping a customer who couldn't reach the top shelf.

I've been meaning to ask for a salary increase since money I earned, wasn't nearly enough to pay for my studies.

The response I received was rather negative, not only was I scolded for arriving a few minutes late, but also for the fact that I asked for a raise.

After apologizing I made my way to the back of the store, hoping to avoid him for the rest of my shift.

The store grew silent, but that silence broke the moment I heard my manager shouting. He called my name, and it echoed through the store, disrupting the peaceful flow it had a few moments before.

As angry as I was, I made my way towards him. Arriving at the scene, my eyes met the guy from earlier. He gave me a soft smile upon seeing me, as if he was delighted.

"You called?" He gave me an annoyed stare before leaving the checkout, "Deal with these customers, I'll be in the back if there's a problem." Watching as he left made me angry, but I couldn't really do anything about it.

I sighed as I made my way to the checkout and started scanning the items the 'wizard' had in his basket.

"Is he always like that?" A calming voice called out to me, and I looked up to meet the shiny purple eyes of the man standing before me. "Most times, yes." I replied before placing his items in a bag. "That'll be *insert currency* "

The man gave me a confused stare, before asking me, "How much...??" I sighed, "*insert currency* sir." Once again he looked confused. "Do you mind showing me the currency you're using?" He asked.

His question was rather odd and a little sketchy. Normally if someone had asked that I'd say no, but from the looks of it, he doesn't seem to have any weird motives.

"Alright, here." I pulled out the *insert currency* I would use to buy me food later, and placed it on the counter. His view of it was perfect and he could clearly see it's digits.

Not sure what he would do, I watched him intriguingly.

The sounds the air conditioner made, played through my eardrums and my eyes watched in wonder as he took a wand out, from inside his cloak.

A sudden wind entered the store, aggressively running through my hair and setting the wizards shiny grey hair to dance. With just a flick, I watched as his simple trick duplicated my money into many.

He picked up the money, with the same joyful smile as before and handed it to me. "Thank you, enjoy the rest of your day." Still in a shock I replied, "You too sir...", before watching as the young wizard left.

A few seconds passed and I finally snapped from my transe. An overwhelming feeling of enthusiasm came over me, and I felt myself slowly being drawn to this man.

Without a thought I made my way outside the store.

Following the purple hat which beamed bright in the sunlight. I finally catched up to the strange man, and pulled on his cloak as he finally stopped at the road.

He turned to meet me, as I stood amazed before him. "Sorry to bother you..." I said, "but do you mind telling me your name?"

He took my hand from his cloak, and clasped it with his. Yet again he smiled, only this time it had more feeling.

"If you're really that curious that you followed me, I don't see a reason not to tell you." He shared.

His face twinkled in the sunlight, and my eyes sparkled in his presence. I listened attentively as his name escaped his lips.

"I'm Lilac"

"Lilac Von Laurentia"
