My response echoed through the windows and the silence the library normally has, was broken.
"Shhhh!" Lilac said, while slightly panicking, placing his hand on my mouth and looking around. "Listen y/n... I can't explain everything here." His voice was slightly more demanding then I was use to. "I'll wait for you outside the convenient store you work at, then I'll explain everything to you in private."
I nodded, since his hand layed quite comfortably on my mouth, stopping me from responding with words.
"Oh, sorry." He said as he removed his hand and patted my head. "Well...I best get going then. My shift starts in an hour." I said as I started leaving.
It's not that I needed an hour to get ready, but I had to make a quick stop at my apartment to clean up first. No way was I going to work with sogging underwear and an uncleansed soul.
"Alright, see you later then." The professor, or rather the wizard replied as I made my way to the exit.
The sun peeked at me, it's raze stood directly on me and it's heat overwhelmed my entire being. Finally leaving the college exit, I walked my way to the station, before finally reaching the other part of the city.
It was slightly cooler there, though my skin still boiled from the heat. Entering my apartment, a wave of coolness shocked me, and the sting glistening on my skin eased.
Making my way to the shower, as quickly as I could, felt like a rush. I didn't have enough time to tempt the water, so I went in cold.
Apart from the icy cold temperature washing away at my skin, I felt a bit cooled off.
Finally finishing up, and preparing myself to exit into the heat once more.
Upon entering the store, I was met with the unappealing face of my manager. He seemed extra grumpy today and decided to blow some stream by releasing that anger onto me.
I remained silent in my tracks, accepting the unneeded lecture he gave me. It felt like rambles. Meaningless shouting exclamating in my ears and invading my personal space.
He ended with slamming the back room door behind him. Not quite sure what his problem was, I ignored it altogether. Besides, I was more focused on the fact that I'd be seeing that wizard again, and that this time, I'll actually get to know him better.

The store was silent, and the bright lights shining from inside the huge freezers set the store to glow. Making my way to the exit, I switched on the neon sign, signalling the entire city that we were still open.
Shift having ended, I stepped outside and prepared myself for the walk home. Once again the night was gorgeous, but apart from before, the stars shined bright.
Taking a moment to admire the tiny gas balls of light, I saw a small reflective light twinkling in the corner of my eye.
Turning to face it, I saw, as the once majestic man, stood awaiting my leave. "Are you leaving?" He asked. "Uhh..yeah I'm leaving, but why on earth are you waiting out here?"
The young man got up and stepped a bit closer, making him appear in the light of the neon sign.
"I came as I said I would. Don't you remember?" A bit embarrassed by the dumb question I'd asked I tried brushing if off, hoping he wouldn't notice,"Yeah, but you could've waited inside."
"I don't think your manager would approve of that..." He said with a smile, as though he was trying to tease me.
"I suppose." After finishing off my sentence, a slight breeze swept the city, sending a chill through my body.
"I think we should get going." I stated as I began walking, retracing my path home.
He followed in silence, and seemed to be in his own world. I couldn't help but stare. Admiring him from up close.
His eyes met mine for a moment and it's purple colour gleamed. I'm sure he noticed my staring, even if I tried my best to hide it.
Finally making it to my apartment. Standing at it's entrance, my nerves began to set in.
I brought him here!? Of all places why did I come here. We could've gone to a night cafe or something.
I thought of a million things that pointed to this being a bad idea. My place was a little messy, and now he had to see it... I can't do this, I should ask him if we can talk somewhere else.
"Why are you just standing there? Aren't you gonna go in?" He asked. "Uhhh...well...I was just about to..."
I pleaded a prayer as I placed my key inside it's lock. Finally opening the door.
While opening it, I felt my heartbeat steadily increasing. "Welcome...to my-"
Seeing the state my apartment was in, left me in a shock. When did I clean? How was it this spotless? Did my prayers work? It doesn't really matter, at least now I won't be humiliated.
"home.."
He stepped inside, with a neutral expression plastered on his face. "Thank you." He said as his foot entered my domain.
This is so awkward! I need to be more welcoming. "Professor would you like a drin-"
"Do you mind sitting down?" His words cut my sentence. "Sure.." I replied while taking a seat on a stool which stood a few inches away from me.
"Good." He said as he snapped his fingers, making a beanbag apart behind him, and casually sitting down.
"Now that we're finally settled, I believe I owe you an explanation?"
