Damn Monday mornings. I rushed around trying to pack my bag as well as pull up my socks. Luckily, I'd eaten breakfast already and managed to down a mug of coffee. As I rummaged through my drawers for my maths homework, I heard my brother calling me from the living room.

  "Akane, your phone's ringing!"

I frowned. Who on earth would be calling me this early? My question was answered by Taiga's following question.

"Wait why is Tommy calling you?"

My eyes widened.

  "Shit," I muttered.

Dashing towards him, I grabbed the phone from his hands and answered the call. Taiga watched me intently and I nervously smiled at him.

"Hey, Tommy. You're calling early. What's up?"

'Is it so wrong for me to want to check up on my girlfriend? We haven't talked properly since you left America.'

I could hear the pout in his voice and I internally sighed.

"I know, I'm sorry. Things have been super hectic since I got here."

'That's cool, I get it. You can make it up to me when I meet you after school.'

My eyes widened, as did my brother's and I flinched as he glared at me and mouthed 'what's happening'.

"What do you mean? After school? I'm lost..."

He chuckled and it made me nervous.

'Silly. I'm coming to visit for a few days. Don't worry, I'm staying in a hotel. I know there's not enough room in your apartment. Anyways, I know you have school soon so I'll leave you to it. I'll be waiting at the gates for you when you finish! Love you, bye!'

With that, he hung up and I was left staring at my phone in complete confusion. Sighing, I rubbed my hands over my face. A gentle hand on my shoulder pulled me out of my inner turmoil.

  "What's going on?"

"Promise me you won't get mad?"

He frowned and crossed his arms.

"You know I can't promise that."

"After you came back here, Tommy and I sorta got together...I know you don't want me getting a boyfriend but it's not down to you and he treats me really well."

Sighing deeply through his nose, he nodded.

"Apparently he's coming to visit for a few days and will be meeting us after school..."

"How nice of him to give us notice," he muttered with a roll of his eyes.

Classes were dragging and with every passing hour, I grew more anxious. Taiga kept eyeing me sceptically, Kuroko appeared unsure as to whether or not to ask me what was wrong, and at lunch, the team had all picked up on my 'off' mood. I couldn't stop fidgeting.

"Why don't you just text him saying you'll meet him somewhere instead of him meeting you here? It's obviously bothering you," my twin whispered from beside me as I pushed my food around with my chopsticks.

"No, it's okay. I don't want to make him mad. He's coming all this way for me. It wouldn't be fair for me to make him wait," I mumbled.

As much as I wanted to do that, I knew he wouldn't appreciate it. He'd just have to put up with me being in my uniform for a while. Groaning, I turned to my brother and bumped my head against his shoulder. His frown deepened and Kuroko watched me worriedly, but it was Kiyoshi-senpai who spoke up.
