"So let me get this straight. The centaur said that the hooded figure that we saw in the forest is You-Know-Who? And he's just roaming around freely inside of Hogwarts grounds! So much for Hogwarts being the safest wizarding school out there..." Draco ranted as he was pacing around in front of the fireplace in the empty Slytherin Common Room.

"Draco, Firenze also mentioned that he's weak and that he's living off unicorns." I told him. "Calm down. He's not here for you, he's-" I paused for a second. "Voldemort's here for me."

Draco cleared his throat and attempted to mimic my voice. "Oh Draco don't worry! Voldemort won't kill you, he'll kill the only real friend that you have ever made in your life!" He than started talking in his normal voice. "If you die. I die." He said seriously. I smile at him and got up from seat and wrapped my arms around him. "You're the best friend anyone could ask for."

"How can you understand anything Professor Binns says? I could fall asleep by just listening his annoying voice..." Draco said. We were walking near the Quidditch field. "You alright?" He asked. "My scar burns. It feels like my head is being split into two..." He shot me a worried look. "D'you need me to take you to Madam Pomfrey?"

"No- no it's fine.." I reassured him. He nodded. "The pastries today were amazing!" Crabbe's voice beamed from behind. He and Goyle joined us on our walk. "Y/n, I was wondering if you could help me in History of Magi-" Draco was interrupted by the presence of Harry, Ron and Hermione. "We need Y/n" Harry said, pulling me by my arm, giving no choice for Draco to protest. "Well that wasn't quite a question was it?" I said brushing non-existent dust off my robes.

"Y'know our scars?" Harry said. "Well we aren't the only ones who know about it, are we?" I said. "I think it's a warning that danger's coming." Harry said making me sigh. "Big news Harry, totally did not know that." I said sarcastically.

The four of us left Hogwarts grounds and set off for Hagrid's hut. Harry stopped dead in his tracks. "Of course!" He said as though he found out something awesome. "What is it?" Hermione asked. He than started sprinting towards Hagrid's hut, making it hard for the three of us to keep up with his pace. "Don't you think it's a bit odd, that what Hagrid wants more than anything is a dragon, and a stranger turns up who happens to have one? I mean, how many people wander around with dragon eggs in their pockets?"

"Not many of course." I said. "Why didn't I see it before?" Harry said out of frustration. We all rushed towards his hut. Hagrid was sat on the steps, playing a flute. "Hagrid! Who gave you the dragon egg? What'd he look like?" Harry asked breathlessly. "I don't know. I never saw his face, he kept his hood up."

"The stranger though, You and he must've talked?" Harry asked. Where even is this conversation going? "Well he wanted to know what sort of creatures I look after. I told him I said 'After Fluffy, a dragon's gonna be no problem!'" Harry's eyes widened. "Did he seem interested in Fluffy?"

"Well of course he seemed interested in Fluffy. How often d'you come across a Three-Headed-Dog? Even if you're in the trade. But I told him, I said- I said 'The trick with any beast is to know how to calm him. Take Fluffy for example. Just play him a bit of music and he falls straight to sleep.'" We were all staring at Hagrid with our jaws on the floor. As if he just said something mad. "I shouldn't've told you that-"

The four of us ran back up to Hogwarts ground. Whoever that person was. (Which I'm sure wasn't Snape.) is definitely trying to steal the Philosopher's Stone.

"Where you goin'? Wait!" Hagrid called after us, but we all just ignored him.

We rushed into McGonagall's classroom, passing a ghost who was writing something on one of the tables. "We have to say Professor Dumbledore!" I screeched, sounding like an owl. "Immediately!" Harry finished. McGonagall opened her mouth to talk. Suddenly, now that we're panicking, everything feels like it's going in slow motion.

"I'm afraid Professor Dumbledore is not here." McGonagall said. We all shared worried looks among each other. "He received an urgent owl from the Ministry of Magic and left immediately for London."

"He's gone? Now? But this is important!" Harry urged, as if saying that would make Dumbledore appear out of thin air. "This is about the Philosophers Stone." I said. McGonagall looked extremely shocked. "How do you know..?" She asked. "Someone's going to try to steal it." Harry said, ignoring McGonagall's question.

"I don't know how you four found out about the stone, but I assure you it is perfectly well protected." She paused for a moment, looking at the four of us in shock and confusion. "Now would you go back to your dormitories. Quietly." You all walked out of the classroom angrily.

"That was no stranger Hagrid met in the village. It was Snape. Which means, he knows how to get past Fluffy." Harry said making my anger rise. "Snape's not-" But I was ignored, and interrupted by Hermione "And with Dumbledore gone-"

"Good Afternoon." Snape's cold voice said. "Professor Snape." I said quietly. "Now what would three young Gryffindors and a Slytherin such as yourselves be doing inside on a day like this?" He said. "We were just-"

"-You ought to be careful. People will think you're.. up to something..." He was particularly glaring at Harry and left. He was swinging his cloak dramatically as he walked away.

"Now, what do we do?" Hermione asked. "We go down the trapdoor. tonight." He said. I smirked and nodded. I was quite a fan of adventures if you ask me.
