"..we meet.. again." he said. "Voldemort.." Harry and I said in unison.
"Yes. You see what I have become? See what I must do to survive? Live off another.. A mere parasite. Unicorn's blood can sustain me but it cannot give me a body of my own. But there is something that can.. Something that conveniently enough, lies in your pocket.."
Harry turned to run and I followed behind, running as quickly as possible. "Stop him!" Voldemort said. Quirinus snapped once and fire blocked our path. "Don't be a fool..." Voldemort spoke. Harry was looking around for any sign of life or an exit.
"Why suffer a horrific death.. when you can join me and live?" Voldemort said. "NEVER!" Harry and I screamed at him. I have no idea where my bravery and courage came from. Voldemort let out an ugly laugh.
"Bravery.. your parents had it to.. Tell me, would you like to see your mother and father again?" I could see my parents in the mirror. They were looking at us, smiling. "Together.. we can bring them back. All I ask for is something in return.." Voldemort finished.
Harry slowly took the Philosopher's Stone out of his pocket, I shook my head at him violently. "That's it Harry.." Voldemort said. "No.. Don't- do it." I whispered to him.
"There is no good and evil. (sounds like something Regulus would say to me.) There is only, Power..(never mind.) and those too weak to seek it." Harry was rubbing the stone, taking short glances at it every now and then. We both looked horrible. Blood falling down from our heads.
"Together.. we'll do extraordinary, Just give me the stone!" Voldemort yelled.
"No!" I yelled. "You Liar!" Harry snapped at his, I felt myself smile for only a split second.
"KILL THEM!" Voldemort ordered Quirinus. Quirinus charged towards us, flying. He pinned us against the stairs by our necks. The stone fell right beside me. I reached my hand out to grab it but it was too far out of reach.
Quirinus was strangling us, we were running out of oxygen in our lungs and struggling for life. Is this what it felt like to be a second away from death? The tips of my fingers were touching the stone. The only things in my mind were the stone, the struggling boy beside me and Voldemort.
My other hand reached out to take Quirinus's hand off my throat. Right at that moment Quirinus let out a horrible scream of pain, letting go of our throats. Harry and I sat up and shared a look of confusion. We put our hands up and looking at it, I've never done something like this without my wand. "What is this magic?"
"Fool! Get the stone!" Voldemort said annoyed. I quickly grabbed the stone and tightened my hands around it. Harry looked at me, I looked back and nodded. I knew exactly what he was thinking. Harry and I put one our hands up to Quirinus's face and he screamed in horror.
He was turning into stone, almost like he's turning into statue. Harry and I had our mouths agape, Quirrell turned completely into a statue. He reached out to us with his hand before falling apart. I looked at my hands, confusion in my head.
I held up the stone that was in my hand and showed it to Harry. I tightened my fingers around it once again, a smile planted on our face. The feeling of victory is amazing.
Harry and I turned around to face Voldemort who was merely just smoke now. It ran through us as we fell flat on the stairs. The smoke escaped through the fire, leaving Harry and me unconscious on the floor. The stone laying close by on the floor but safe.
