happy new year!! (new year special :D)

hi everyone!! its been a while :) we've gotten to 17k views while i was gone, so thank you sm!! :O sorry it took me so long to upd, i kinda forgot and i dont have motivation 🧍also, late merry christmas!!

"Happy new year!" They all said while pulling you in a really big group hug.

"I can't believe it's already been a year, time flies so fast," Amber said.

"You sound old," Lumine said, trying her best not to laugh.

"Hey, this is supposed to be an emotional moment here!"

"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it."

"Now, I'm kinda hungry. Let's all get some food?" You all nodded in agreement. You were all at the mall anyway, so finding a restaurant wasn't that hard.

You stumbled upon a restaurant you've never seen before, maybe it was new? You decided to try it out, so you walked towards it with the others.

"Hmm, I wonder what the food tastes like. Hopefully it's good!" Paimon exclaimed.

'I'm not surprised, she only came here for the food
after all,' you thought to yourself.

You went in. There wasn't alot of customers inside, but there were somewhat familiar looking people, but you weren't too sure who. They were all wearing hoodies, so you weren't really sure if they were someone you knew.

You sat down with Paimon, Amber, Fischl, and Lumine. The waitress handed you all a menu, and Paimon was already drooling.

"I'd like to have..." You and the rest order a lot of things, but not too much of course.

You felt multiple people staring at you, but you ignored it. It seems it was coming from that table with the "somewhat familiar" looking people. You still couldn't put a finger on who they were.

Honestly, you couldn't care less and began eating after the waitress placed the food. You dug in with the others, talking about different topics.

"I'm stuffed..."

"You always are Paimon."

"Hey! Paimon just likes food!" You just nodded and sighed lightly. You glanced over to that table and they were still there. You could hear them, and one of them mentioned your name.

So you decided to approach them but maybe after a while.

"Y/N, who should pay? We can't decide."

You snapped back to reality and said "Should we just split the bill and pay for the food each of us ordered?"

"Sure!" Amber raised her hand and motioned for the waitress to go to your table and she gave you all the bill.

Thankfully, you had enough mora to pay.

"You guys can go ahead, I'll catch up in a bit."

"Okay, we'll just bring Paimon with us," Lumine said.

You waved back as they exited, and now you were alone. You were about to stand up and go towards them but they already went to you in a blink of an eye.

You flinched when one suddenly hugged you from behind, "I've missed you, Y/N."

Of course, it was Venti.

"Oh, it's just you guys. You scared me," you sighed.

"Haha, sorry about that. Happy new year by the way! How have you been?"

"Happy new year! And I'm doing well, how about you guys?" It felt so awkward.

"We're good, I guess."

"That's nice."

There was a long, awkward pause. You were sweating at this point.

"Well, I have to go if thats alright with you. Hope to see you again soon." You said.

"Awh, already? Bye then," Venti said with a sad face. He let you free from the tight embrace and pouted slightly.

"Sorry, we'll see each other soon yeah?"

"Sure," they nodded in agreement.

You stood up and walked away as you waved goodbye to them, and they waved back. Well, it was time to catch up with the others now.
